I'm not having any issues with Win10 really. Better than 8 imo.

This graphics card technically isn't event compatible with Windows 7 (it's a Radeon x1550) but I have the default Windows graphics drivers because the Vista drivers make it BSOD. [Image: mw_joy.svg] ATI dropped support after Vista, and I've been moving this GPU from tower to tower for years.

I was reluctant to even upgrade from Windows XP to Windows 7 (well, permanently; I was going back and forth between the two for about a year) but Draco Icebane finally convinced me due to security issues or whatever. However... it turns out he was INCORRECT because with the POSReady registry hack you can continue to get security updates for Windows XP until 2019. [Image: mw_mad.svg]

EDIT: Disclaimer to NSA - I do not condone POSReady registry tweaks since according to WTL they're not exactly legal.

I thought microsofts opinion was just "we don't officially support you doing this"

Oh. It's not exactly legal? Under which law is it not exactly legal? o_O

I just remember reading a news article about it and Microsoft basically responding with-

-not "you're breaking the law."

Oh well. Maybe it is good that I decided I can live with Windows 7 before finding out about the registry I would've only been able to hang on to XP for a couple more years with that anyway.

I like the consistency in 10 but 8.1 was honestly like twice as stable

don't do it

unless you really dislike your personal info and want to hand it all off (even moreso than using win7 already would)

I would still try the upgrade to see if you like it, and if not just downgrade or do a fresh 8.1 install with startisback
