Alright, alright, if you want me to be specific, I'll check the dining room and workshop.

You examine the swords in the Hall of Swords, because what else would you be doing in there? After looking at the blades, you surmise that either japanese katanas, odachis, and similar eastern swords would be a close match, though a curved saber would also probably do the trick...

There's nothing of the sort outside, at least.

The Dining Room only contains cutlery, and the Workshop's closest equivalent are a chisel and some smithing tools, both of which are far too crude to have caused the wounds on Shoey.

Are there any of those specific swords missing from the sword hall?
