Character 2: Starting Point / Backstory

Here are the words for our next character:

Eye Patch
Improv
Offensive

Using these three words as a prompt, come up with a backstory fitting for a Killing Game character. What are they like? Where are they from? What kind of things do they do? What experiences have they had?

If you do not wish to contribute a full backstory you can just give pieces and we can collectively build up the character together.

Being in the line of comedy is more dangerous than one would think. People will take harmless jokes that went maybe a little too far and turn to violence. He'd always show up at home, bruised from the hands of his audience when someone felt a gag had been targeted at them. Sometimes they were right, sometimes they weren't. He only wanted to make others laugh.

That's when he lost his eye to a particularly violent audience member after a show. Disgruntled with his work and his constant injuries, he took to other ways to make money. But he found himself unable to perform any tasks that required precision now that he had lost his depth perception. And he found himself unable to laugh anymore, either. He himself had come to take his own jokes too seriously to find them funny.

He was in a slump... until that day, when the red and black envelope arrived in his mailbox.

El Negro
Back in the year 12 A.C. a clonation machine was created and destroyed on the same era.

With that information out of the way, we shall introduce our second character.

She is a girl trapped in the body of a girl, with a male soul controlling her with every move. Because of a duel with hockey sticks, she was impaled in the eye with her opponent's dick, and has never been the same since.

Due to this, she wears an Eye Patch, and likes to Improv by the time of performing any action.

Our heroine... or should I say villaine? Likes Family Guy, and therefore uses Offensive words a lot of the time, such as Lois, Meg and Bitch Ass Motherfucker.

Her job? Undercover Pole Stripper. Whenever she undresses and takes off her underwear... a gun is revealed, and shot to the public to erase her enemies.

She is also gay.

Bigfoot
After a life at sea, this old retired pirate found herself docked on the shores of Long Island. There she found work at a local comedy club. She has an improv act where she tells terribly outdated racist jokes. She manages to keep a repeat, loyal audience despite her niche appeal.

Okay, so I'm seeing two potential options based off of what has been suggested so far.

This character is a man in his mid 40s. In his prime, he was a cast member on a popular live improvisation comedy show, “Your Next Line Is...”. After a few too many offensive remarks he was kicked off the program within just a month of premiere. The times were changing and Americans just wouldn't accept that kind of political incorrectness anymore.

Determined not to have to leave the Bay Area, he found a job at a local comedy club. The pay wasn't as good and the audience was even worse. The liberal crowd didn't take kindly to his racist and sexist jokes. What's the deal with these hypocrites? Why can't they take a joke? More than once he was forced offstage violently. During one engagement his left eye became permanently injured after being hit by a beer bottle that shattered on impact.

Down on his luck he found no choice but to sell his damaged eye to a black market dealer. It turns out that even barely functional those things can fetch a decent price with the right buyer. However, after the removal of his eye he experiences series issues with depth perception. The combination of that and the acceptance that he has lost his mojo with the change of times has driven him into a bit of depression. He now mostly hangs out at home, always thinking of jokes in the back of his mind that not even he finds himself able to laugh at these days.

His favorite show is Friendly Guy, a show featuring a fat American family man who gets into all sorts of goofy situations that reference pop culture. It helps to keep him sane.

This character is a young woman in her 20s. She believes herself to be the reincarnation of the great, legendary pirate, Blackbeard. However, it is all just her delusion. She has kept up this character, eye patch included, since middle school. Originally a resident of New York City, she moved further to the shorelines of Long Island to expand her pirate knowledge more. All she found unfortunately were myths that she was unable to follow up on. If you were to ask her about her experiences though, you would get fantastical tales crafted from what she learned. Often there would even be twists incorporating mythological creatures and strange Nazi sciences.

Rather than attend higher education, she sought out the closest thing she could to the pirate life, improvisational comedy. At a local comedy club she performs sets on occasion. She seems popular with a niche audience, but not for her comedic prowess. Her commitment to character is what keeps them coming back. Many people that come looking for comedy are turned off by her acts though, due to the fact that many of her jokes are stolen from other more famous comedians and retold without the nuance that made them funny in the first place. More than once she has reused a politically incorrect joke.

Her favorite show is Friendly Guy, a show featuring a fat American family man who gets into all sorts of goofy situations that reference pop culture. It's the source of some of her better material.
