Is Shrek a libertarian?
Shrek just wants to be left alone with his family on his own land, far removed from the oppression of the monarchy. He lives by his own rules and expects others to do the same for themselves. But at the same time, he is reluctant to go out of his way to help others who are experiencing injustice. Shrek is absolutely a libertarian
Shrek is more libertarian than Wario ever was; Wario isn't that smart but if he had a grip on politics then I feel like he'd be a republican. He seems like the kind of guy who would try to arbitrarily enforce his own way of doing things onto other people, whereas Shrek legitimately doesn't give a shit.
If anything, I'd think he's more likely an Eco-socialist.
Tbh i havent watched any of the Shruk films in a long time so i can't say for certain what he is. At first glance he seems to me a Libertarian. he definitely isn't big on Authority - i wouldn't go as far as to say that he is Anti-Government, but he clearly Lives By His Own Rules like Spritey said.
does anyone know Shrek's stance on market regulation?
