It's super on the nose. It's supposed to taunt the companies

I also like how the word "Parody" lets me create an obvious callback to the Pokemon logo with the P that looks pretty much exactly the same

Finally, it functions as an ironic critique of my own project: I can't come up with my own ideas so I gotta just do a pale imitation of someone else's

Ever since Marty O'Shaughnessy (Marty-O for short) found a secret warp zone during a bar fight, he's found his home among the mushroom people. There are only two things he cares about: having an enemy to stomp on, and being a still-tasteful caricature of a white european with a silly accent.

Trying to figure out a way to animate these things without drawing a million frames

[Image: snucklesanimrun.gif][Image: spriteyanimrun.gif]

These are 3 frames each with a little bounce to create the illusion of more frames, also the middle frame is reused from the idle pose

Some TTYD-like puppet pieces that can be adapted to allow holding pretty much any object that is generally club-like

Hit animation (works w/ any weapon using some basic layering)

Changed the initial stance a little bit so the weapon is held at 45 degrees. Basically for each weapon we only need a "straight up" and a 45deg sprite, and using rotation in 90deg increments we can display it in all 8 directions.
