That's what I'm hoping for, it'd make sense for them to do it like that from a marketing standpoint to show that it's "new" but then the show is more or less just King of the Hill with a few bits of modern commentary in there when it works.

i had a negative gut reaction when i saw the poster, too, but beavis and butthead has been legitimately great since it's been back, and i do genuinely like that they're committing to a timeskip, so we'll see how this goes

No, the bit will be that Hank is frustrated and yelling at the AI assistant while it misinterprets him and then Boomhauer mumbles to it and it understands him perfectly.
