God damn I remember when charging my cheapass phone used to be a weekly thing, I have no idea why people aren't pissed that an "all day battery" is a selling point now

my s8 is pretty fucking beastly battery-wise, shit can go 10 days of standard use without charging and even longer if i have it on a powersaving mode

now that i play grand order all the time on cranked up brightness its different obviously but even then shit lasts ~4 days of use

every other smartphone ive used/know of totally blew ass in that department though somehow

people definitely complained about batteries not lasting as long but at least it came with new features and stuff. nowadays batteries keep supposedly getting better but it seems like generally phones last just as long, so idk how true that is

The batteries keep getting better but they keep adding new radios and sensors to act as selling points, so the standard of "24 hours standby, 6-12 hours in use" hasn't gotten any better
