Is there a way to make it so posts don't default to the bottom of the post editor after you bold/italicize/underline or whatever something? I tend to write up a post stream-of-consciousness style then go back, adding emphasis and edit details later, which results in me getting booted to the bottom of my post instead of where my cursor last left off. Theoretically I could just use tags like [i] and its opposite typed up manually, but if we're just going to do that, what's the point of having the buttons there?

Stock MyBB is some weird WYSIWYG thing. I'm not sure how our current post thing works at all, I'm surprised the highlight and make a tag do a thing even works

It's not unchangeable, it just won't be changed until someone gets really really bored
