Partitio Yellowil
Nnnn… Hrrrffff…. Eternity's… mighty… Hrrrrfff… promise… Mmmmph…

Hnnng… Jumpin' Jubilites! Follow on now, Neil, he's on the run! Edwards, you coward, get-!

Hoo, uh, mornin' folks. Er, pardon the outburst, just a… dream put my hairs standin' on end, 's'all. Reckon the cat's out o' the bag by now. This whole business in the Chapel, the whole time it was a plan to corral our cloaked mystery figure into a chokepoint. With the bees all a-buzz, I figured up a plan to give 'em a taste of flame in one direction, or chase 'em down with the bees descendin' on us in the other. Didn't mean no harm in keepin' it from y'all. Had I let the plan slip, I figured that slippery sandlurker wouldn't turn up.

'Course, lassoin' 'em didn't end up goin' none too well on account of some kind o' imposter. (We almost had 'em Neil, but he slipped right through the fenceposts…).

Well, I'm mighty obliged to Ranger and Lynne for their assistance all the same, and you too Ms. Zhen. 'Spose I should get on with recountin' what all I saw…

Needed to procure myself some equipment for the night's service, so I crossed on over to Mining Equipment and saw Hifumi leavin' 'fore I went in and saw Madame Zalsarona. Roland joined our little gathering, but we weren't havin' much of a party in there. No time for talkin' and makin' merry for any of us, I'd reckon.

I got all I needed and stepped out with those two, but we made tracks in separate directions right quick. They went off east ridin' that Pale Horse, and I struck out west. Spottin' Strong Bad headin' south between the Orange and Yellow Buildings, I carried on 'til I bumped into Honoka and Akira. Errr… Look, Akira, we ain't served by hangin' onto grudges, 'specially in a situation like this, and I meant it when I said I wouldn't mind if you came to the Chapel, but maybe you 'n' I'll have a little space 'fore we start actin' like buds and makin' films together.

I declined Akira's offer and kept on goin' west, spottin' Ranger stoppin' in at the General Store. I eventually found what I was lookin' for, seein' Bud putin' in an honest night's work and buildin' his beehives as I grabbed it. I knew I'd need oil for tonight, but I figured Madame Zee would prefer if I didn't go raidin' the kitchen's stocks, so I plucked an oily plant a old pair of friends of mine taught me I could use for warmin' and cookin' in a pinch.

I doubled back to stop in the General Store for a stepladder, then went on over to the Lobby in Blue. Seemed like Akira had gotten her film crew, since McJango, North Star, Not Shane, and Mr. Bowl himself have joined her and Honoka in loiterin' outside of the Green Buildin'.

I cut in to speak with Bowl as Not Shane heads into the Green Building, and ask him to come with me somewhere private for a hot second. We go into the Lobby, and have ourselves a little exchange, then I let him on his way.

My business tended to, I eventually end up makin' my way over to the site of the service, spottin' Lynee with the caterin' in Newspaper. I get inside and find none other than a Black Horse, that good ol' Ox, and Ms. Zhen. She and I have a little chat 'bout the beliefs we were raised in. That Riotus is somethin' else, from the sound of it. Mighty glad we could talk for a spell, Ms. Zhen. I may not have shown it, but my nerves were runnin' high as a floodin' river!

Once Ranger rolled in, I figured we had everyone we'd get, so I went to start hangin' ol' Reginald up, only for Kroos to run on in and try 'n' blind us! I ain't proud of what happens next, but we have ourselves a little altercation and I manage to keep her at bay long enough for…

A cloaked figure to come in from the south. Well, "that's my mark" is what I figured, but with Kroos causin' a distraction, I couldn't avoid takin' a shot to the shoulder. You'll find it takes a lot more than that to keep this Stallion down! It hurt 'bout as much as gettin' mauled by a hog's tusks and I was stumblin', but Ranger nails 'em with a couple o' shots, takin' out their arm in the process.

I hurled oil at 'em to cut off their route north usin' some open flames I had set. Sure enough, the varmint catches alight, but they didn't show no sign of bein' affected. Shocked me somethin' fierce that they were so durable, but even more shockin' was a second cloaked figure appear' at the south entrance.

Fire was obscurin' the south entrance now, so I ain't entirely sure what happened to 'em. Much as I wanted to tackle 'em, I ain't jumpin' through flames for it. Zhen and Ranger kept unloadin' on all three off the sermon-crashers, but I couldn't let them put themselves at more risk than they already had. Decidin' to bring the whole service to a close, I pushed Reginald in the hole...

…and… well, to tell the truth, I ain't sure what exactly happened next. All I know is, wherever I was, it wasn't Silver Junction no more. Next thing I remember after that, I was driftin' off…

What all it means… I gotta get my head on straight 'fore I go speculatin', but…

Three great signs, three rituals, when it all comes to pass…. We're in for an eternity I doubt even Deathborn could dream up… (and now… was I hearin'... three masterminds…? Couldn't be…)

Well.... another one to cross off the wanted list. I wish I could 've asked him what he did with my car.

I decided tonight I would spend time trying to find information on our good friend "Spencer Edwards", or the "stick man" people have been seeing. Maybe even set a trap for them, and take them in for questioning. I took a good look around and... didn't find a lot.

Firstly, I picked up some supplies from the general store - spotting Zalsarona leave as I entered, and Nico doing some shopping - plus the Army Post, where I encountered Strong Bad.

I then made my way over the Outhouse. I was hoping to ambush one of our most notorious criminals, Partitio Yellowil, while tending his plot. Sure, he's not been found guilty, but he's certainly suspiciously close to every crime scene.

Unfortunately, the guy never showed, so I gave up shortly after. Probably a good thing in hindsight, considering all the bees.... I took a brief detour into the Saloon and threw a chair at Akira in frustration.

Back in my office, I got started on my investigation into Mr. Edwards. It seems the previous sheriff had run into some trouble with him, and took to spying on him, to prove he was a "heathen devil worshipper". However, by the time of the latest document, it seemed Mr. Edwards had convinced most of the town to his side, and the sheriff was the odd one out for not buying into his crap. It also turns out that he really liked dressing up as a horse.

I then went up to the Officer's Club to invite Hollywood Bowl to join me. We searched around the Officer's Club, Mayor's Office, Schoolhouse and Courthouse, but found little of relevance, apart from Bud leaving the schoolhouse as we went in. All the info we found was boring pre-1873, pre-Silver Junction stuff.

We then headed over to the blue building, looking through the Executive Office. Bowl lets me into the Archives and I noted that "Redeye Productions" had been in charge of most movie production here, since filming began. Now, where have I heard that name before ? Also, it appeared someone had taken off with some documents right as we started filming.

Our next stop was the Newspaper, but on our way there, Akira showed up with Honoka, North Star and McJango, and took Bowl away to do some filming.... Dang.... I hadn't seen my deputy all night, so had to carry on my search alone. I ran into Lynne at the Newspaper who gave me a few slices of cake. Unfortunately, no new info - nor anything at the "Lore Office", despite the misleading name.

Next, I made my way over to the Post Office... one thing that I did note here was that the guy had barely any contact outside of Silver Junction... odd as he'd only arrived a few years before 1873... what's up with this guy? Elster came through from outside while I was looking and headed over to the Passenger Lounge.

Finally, I decided to check for anything in the Railworker Quarters - passing the late Derek Stiles as he was heading west on the Platform. Elster was here too, and we both heard that gunshot coming from the west. Elster headed into Storage and I gave up on my search here.

Before going to bed, I made a brief trip to the Saloon. Not very busy tonight... only Evangeline and Lynne, and neither wanted to play my favorite card game, Chase the Ace, so I just went back to bed.

I got some ideas for tomorrow, though. Mr. Edwards... your 100 years in hiding are coming to an end. Mr "Stick Man".... if you exist, you too.

Show everyone any important documents I found tonight

Well... That was interestin'

We got some real rotten fellers runnin' around this town, don't we? So my first business last night was headin' over to the Sheriff's Office and makin' a new wanted poster fer whoever it was that went and shot up Roland. We got enough troubles of our own without folks we can't even recognize, I reckon. While I was workin' on that, Strong Bad came outta the Army Post and went south, and Nico went the same way a lil' while after that.

Anyhow, Texas Red may be gone but Partitio was tellin' me about someone even MORE dangerous named Spence Redwards! And I thought well that can't even be possible but I guess if Texas Red is dead now maybe it is possible, 'cause the rankin' has to get updated and all that. So I agreed to help 'im with his plan even though I ain't quite sure what it was.

Maybe you should've listened more to what he was saying then?

SHUT YER YAP MARTY THIS AIN'T ABOUT YOU

Anyhow, went on over to the General Store to grab me some rope and saw Not Shane comin' in too. Then I went west and saw Partitio by some cliffs, and I got that big ol' ox from the Livestock Corral. He ain't a cooperative feller but I still got things workin' anyhow. Brought 'im to the Cemetery to get ol' Reginald. I took a lil' detour into Carpentry where I saw Ace Ventura, then grabbed a medical bag from the Doctor's Office. Doctors seem in real short supply, 'specially now, so I figured it weren't a bad idea to have one of them on hand. Got back to work and brought Reginald to the Chapel, Zhen came in on a black horse 'round the same time. Someone painted DON'T DO IT in real big letters on the altar but I reckoned it was probably just SPENCE REDWARDS tryin' to stop us.

Had some time on my hands after that so I went to the Movie Theater to see what Elster was talkin' about yesterday. I found some kinda empty space behind the projector but didn't see anything 'cause it was mighty dark back there. If any of y'all wanna check it out make sure to bring some kinda light. Tried to find Hollywood Bowl but couldn't find hide nor hair of 'im 'round there.

Anyhow, went back to the Chapel afterwards and Zhen was still there. Decided to check out that hole. It was just a hole. Don't think it's too important. Got back out and Partiio was comin' back in. We waited 'round for a spell but no one else showed, so he started yappin'. I wasn't really listenin'. But then Kroos comes in and everything goes upside down from there! I guess she was tryin' to stop us so we had a lil' ol'-fashioned brawl. No hard feelins', I hope? But while that was goin' on some black-cloaked feller runs in and starts shootin' all over the dang place! Must've been SPENCE REDWARDS, so I pulled out my Big Iron and let 'im have it! Got 'im in the side and the left arm! Partitio threw somethin' at 'im and he caught on fire, but he kept shootin' and got me in the leg! But I still shot 'im more times than he shot me, and I ain't dead neither, so I'm gonna say I won. Nice try SPENCE REDWARDS! Anyhow the whole buildin' started to catch fire, then a second cloaked feller comes in! Now yer gonna tell me there's two Spence Redwardses...es? That ain't right!

While that was goin' on I saw Partitio knock Reginald off a ladder and then he started glowin' gold and floatin' for a second, then he suddenly went and collapsed. I guess it was gold 'cause he's got yellow in his name. Then Kroos came runnin' at me again but suddenly somethin' exploded on the left side of the room. Must've knocked us both out, 'cause I don't remember nothin' after that.

So anyhow, how are y'all doin'

Little Honoka is a traitor, is she...? Jajaja~! Looksss can be quite deceiving, no...? But that matter mussst wait...the murder comes first.

I began the night with a little ssscheming of my own; I collected materials for this plot from the purple building, during which I sssaw North Star and little Nico in the General Store and Bud reading in the Schoolhouse. Even a sssavage can learn...bien hecho! I took the tunnel - which was ssstill flooded - to the Prickly Pear Dorm, and laid a trap in the Vault. It went off last night without killing anyone, so don't worry about it - but you can inspect its remains if you wish.

I had an appointment with miss Evangeline at the Blacksmith after she finished ssspeaking with Nico, and we got to work - much as I dessspise getting my hands dirty. The late Derek Stiles and the sssavage entered as we worked. When we were done, we ssset off for our destination - the laboratory beneath the green building. Ssspecifically, the locked door on the west end of it.

As we've learned, there used to be a church here in Sssilver Junction. A portion of it ssstill remains, underground...in the basement of the blue building, inaccessible from the main part of the building itself. Beyond that locked door though, we found it. As for what we found down there...I will not ssspoil everything, for those of you who wish to have a look for yourselves, but I can tell you this much: it certainly used to be an ordinary protestant church, before the followers of Atua transformed it. We didn't bump into Ssseñor Edwards, or find his diary, or any sssuch convenient development...but we did find a mysterious sssection of the basement, blocked off by bricks. Qué curioso...

As sssuspected, the basement also connects to the ssstoreroom beneath the General Store. We exited from purple, passing the movie crew at Partitio's Plot, and I bid farewell to my companion as Roland waved her over. I had business elsewhere, ssso I headed to orange, passing Señor Ventura in Carpentry on my way to the Funeral Home. Little Hifumi was also here. I hoped to gain some insssight into the causes of death of all the townsfolk in 1873 - sure enough, their deaths were not caused by a plague, nor by anything else natural.

Increasingly violent deaths...all at the hands of their neighbors. Jajaja...makes your ssskin crawl, no?

Or maybe I'm shedding soon. It's hard to tell.

Anyway...I had ssseen what I came for, so I returned to my dorm. And what do I find lying in my bed...? Not a dashing desperado, but a dead mouse! Not the musical sssort, either.

Whoever put this here...he's good. Real good.

Heh... now that the door's blown wide open on Honoka's scheme, I think that's our cue to get serious with this whole "murder investigation" thing, yeah? The way I see it, it seems to me like a lot of Stiles' injuries seem to result from whatever he was doing running around dressed as our cloaked guy.

....I just hope it wasn't him who decided to shoot at me last night. If that was the case though, guess he got what he deserved. Still, with that knowledge in mind... we might be able to narrow down some of his injuries... even outside of the burn check we already ran.

I'd like to check around the Chapel for any stray bullets that flew around during the gunfight. How do they match up with Derek's gunshot wounds? ...Besides the one in in his head, anyway.

There's also the whole thing with the golden bullet. Considering this place's export seems to be silver, makes me wonder where they got gold in the first place. Strong Bad seemed to know where a source is, at least - but if he's not gonna talk, there's something I'd like to look at. Maybe it'll help clear him, maybe it won't. Not my problem either way.

Check Strong Bad's gold supply in the old outhouse. Is any of the gold missing? Check the Blacksmith too for signs of molten gold, or any residue on the tools at all.

You check out the Chapel. Looks like there's a couple stray bullets in the walls here. They're all pistol bullets as well; you can't tell if they're exactly identical to the ones buried in Derek, but they sure are pistol bullets.

You check out the new Outhouse. The gold bar is still there. Checking the Blacksmith, you look into the foundry and find... there's a bunch of molten gold in there, as well as what looks to be molten gray metal.

Do the Army Post or Gun Store stock sniper rifles?

Check all upstairs rooms in the yellow building for guns. Also check those rooms, the roof, and the ground below for spent casings.

The Army Post stocks sniper rifles. A few of them are missing.

You check the upstairs rooms in the Yellow Building for guns, and find none. You check them for spent casings, and find that you're not sure you can even spot those. Small and easy to lose sight of.

You dig up five random bodies from the Cemetery. While they're pretty decayed, you can see that sometimes they were buried with precious objects.

All the skulls are very old and missing teeth. You can't tell if that's just age, or physical removal.

You do this. It looks like if you spend some time you can make these. They're pretty lethal-looning.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
Nothing much from me tonight, outside of the pure terror of seeing my previous assailant again. Thankfully just in passing this time, for his sake at least. This time I would have shown him the full might of the Ventura family line.

I woke up and headed over to the Yellow building, noticing Roland riding his horse toward the Blue building as I crossed the path. I entered the Saloon, seeing Hollywood Bowl drinking. Cheers, big guy. I needed to grab a bottle of the good stuff so I got some fresh brew and some glasses from the Brewery before heading to the entrance to the Newspaper room. On my way there I noticed something... familiar. A cloaked figure, walking along the outside of the Orange building, on the east side. I considered going after them but my still hurting head reminded me of our last scuffle, so I quickly went to the Newspaper room instead.

I wasn't going to attend this whatever the hell occult shit what going on in the Chapel, but I could at least offer drinks to people who wanted something to take the edge off before they entered. Lynne showed up, we had a drink, which was cool. Always nice to have someone to drink with. She heads into the chapel after a bit and I continued waiting for anyone else who may want to drink for a bit, but no one came. Hell, even Lynne left before I gave up, saluted her on her way out, and headed toward Carpentry to begin on my next project.

I won't go into details on that yet, but while I was in there I see Cascabela heading into the blacksmith, Nico leaving the same way, then after some time I saw Derek entering as well. Then Bud shows up and gets some materials for what I assume was the bees. Good fellow, that Bud guy. A friend of nature. Cascabela then left with Evangeline after a bit.

Then Strong Bad walks through Carpentry and into the Blacksmith, then later after that Elster comes down the stairs and enters the Blacksmith. Lots of foot traffic tonight, so I kept my head on a swivel. Can't trust that someone won't just randomly stab you in the back these days. More time passed and Cascabela came back through and entered the Blacksmith again before leaving and entering the dorm, then leaving there and going upstairs. Hifumi showed up too and went upstairs as well.

I spent enough time crafting my prototype and tiredness was taking me, so I started to head back to my dorm. When I left from the West side of Carpenty and walked north I noticed a figure from the West approaching slowly. I couldn't make out if it was the same cloaked figure or not, but I kept an eye on them as they approached. They entered the Blacksmith and I beat a hasty retreat back to my dorm.

You look at this mail.

It appears to be discussions between Deathborn, Honoka, and Momoyo, related to using Silver Junction and setting it up for a film shoot.

No mention of any Killing Games.

You show off the documents you found.

First off are logs from the Sheriff. He clearly did not like Spencer Edwards, and kept trying to get him on various things. He was rebuffed by other town authorities, but by the time of the final ones in 1873, it becomes clear the Sheriff was specifically being ostracized for not following the beliefs that Edwards preached when most of the town did.

Second is some mail to Spencer Edwards. So much of it is letters from within the town. You've already established that he came from elsewhere only a few years before the 1873 incident, but the lack of any mail he received from elsewhere... it's odd, for a man who just rolled in.

You study the Water Tower. Nothing stands out while you're up here.

You also look inside - if you want to climb in you can do so by opening a hatch on the top of the water tower and climbing down a ladder. It's full of, unsurprisingly, water.
