I know we have said many things over young Derek, but at the end, I think he was all right guy.

He clearly was smart. I say, if you make your living as an undertaker, pretending to be a doctor is a crafty business decision. Ensures steady flow of clients. He had his life all figured out. I can respect that.

First thing I thought about was Roland getting shot at yesterday. Not only was it very rude, but it also ruined his shirt. Strapping young man like him has to look presentable, even more so when his job hangs in the balance. Can't afford walking around in hobo shirt full of bullet holes and blood. So I went to do laundry today.

Walked through General Store and saw North Star and Nico, then Not Shane walks in a bit later. I grabbed an empty burlap sack, then left. Saw Agent Evangeline outside.

Arriving at green building, I went up into Laundry--through the Bank--to grab a clean shirt for Roland. I also entered the chapel, where I ran into Lynne.



Now, what Mr. Yellowil was planning to do here... I can't say I was a fan. As sheep person, I have to be very careful around blood sacrifice rituals because cultists get strange ideas. I took Lynne aside in private and told her to stay out of the chapel when the devil mumbo jumbo was going to go down. It looks like I was right to do this, since it kept her from joining the unconscious people pile that wound up there later.

But this was way before then and the chapel was still empty, so I took a handheld incense burner. I also planted a listening bug in here, just in case of trouble. Then I left for Mining Equipment in the orange building, where Roland had arranged to meet me. Mr. Yellowil came in while I waited, but I didn't talk to him in case he decided a live sacrifice would be more lively for his event. Roland arrived shortly after and I made him change shirts. No sense going on dangerous desert adventure without looking clean.

Our ride through desert was pretty much what Roland says it was like, so I won't repeat. It took us outside town for a long time. I used the burner fired with burlap to keep bees out of our bobkests. Little buggers easy to knock out with some clean smoke. Maybe this is good thing to know for Bud, with his bee houses.



After the trek, Roland dropped me off at the Bank and I went back up to Laundry. Spent a long time trying to wash the blood out of his old shirt, then fixed the holes with my sewing kit. The chapel summoning was happening at the same time I worked. I listened in through the bug and recorded the whole thing.

Once everything quieted down downstairs, I decided I had worked enough and went to visit Lynne in Newspaper. I tried her Angels and Devils food and it was good. Very promising future in culinary, that one. Also looked into chapel through the door and saw Mr. Yellowil, Ranger, and Kroos all face down on floor, knocked out. I knew I made right decision to skip that one.

After a quick last trip to orange building to deliver finished laundry to Roland, I went over to the Saloon. Didn't want to walk all the way back to my bedroom in a sea of bees, especially after sitting on a horse all day. Glad I could even still walk at that point. I slept in the hotel upstairs, being briefly awoken by two gunshots. One came from the west and another from the southwest.

You hear some quiet conversation, then some speech from Partitio. There's a hissing noise, followed by sounds of scuffling, and then the sounds of gunfire. After that comes a loud explosion, and then a few sounds of rapid footsteps. You don't hear anything of significance after that other than a couple more sets of non-rapid footsteps later on.

When I heard the gunshot in the water tower, where was I hearing it from, and did I see anything that I forgot about when I looked toward it?

Looks like they could hide in the Water Tower itself or in the Outhouses. They have doors.

You check the Livestock Corral. The animals seem to be going about their day normally, though the ox is not there.

I have to say, today was thoroughly productive. That key was incredibly helpful. Thank you, Roland.

Now, for my night. I started by going to the Bank, trying to see if I could find a way to seal up the Vault and keep those Crimson Eye weapons in safer hands. Unfortunately, with the codes public knowledge, there's not really anything I can do to prevent that. It was worth a shot. Leaving the Bank, I met Nico and talked with her. She's trying to get me to be an idol, I think? Keeps asking me to Nico-Nico Nii.

I think she likes my hair.

That brought me to the Blacksmith, where I met with Cascabela as Nico left, and made her a copy of the key to the Blue Basement as per her request. We had a lot of investigating to do. During this, Derek Stiles and Bud entered, and we then left for the Green Building, seeing Ace Ventura in Carpentry. We spoke on the way, arrived in the bank, and when we got there I noticed a fallen pile of silver ingots. Very odd. We headed downstairs and unlocked the western door, leading us to the church's basement. That pretty well confirms it - the Church was destroyed intentionally, and when Silver Junction was rediscovered, the current Blue Building was constructed on top of it to hide any evidence.

I feel like Edwards must have buried the basement to hide it ahead of time. I certainly hope there's no nasty surprises.

Regardless, we explored the four accessible rooms. I'd rather people search them for themselves, so I'll confirm that I will let anyone who needs to investigate into the Blue Building to search the rooms for themselves. There's four rooms we can search - the Rectory, the Sacristy, the Church Records, and the Crypt. As well as a sealed area.

We then went through the hallway on the other side, which brought us out into the Storeroom. We went up, exited the Store, and saw the filming group in the plot. That was when Roland waved me down, and Cascabela went on her way. He reported what he found in the Radio Tower, including Honoka's true identity. Still not pleasant. After that, I went to the Sheriff's Office and Army Post, and spent some time testing the floor, to no avail. I've got a theory about the layout of Silver Junction, but I haven't been able to verify it yet. If I could access maybe one more section of the basement...

Regardless. After that, I stepped out via the east exit of the Dorm and circled behind the Blue Building. I saw Lynne leaving the Newspaper, and she asked me to join her in the Saloon, so i did. We spent some time together, during which we heard the two gunshots previously mentioned - one west, one southwest. After that, Bud came in and went upstairs, and a little bit later, Not Shane entered and asked us to play cards. I wasn't interested, so I just returned to my dorm and slept.

This consists of placing a single pistol, fully loaded, and your earrings. Which upon closer inspection are only 14 karet gold, not pure.

She went down the street to the east, and then turned down in the direction of the Orange Building and Cemetery.

...To make a long story short, Nico told me that she took a shot at Derek with a pistol from the Locomotive just before another shot rang out from the north - the direction of the Water Tower, or maybe the Hotel. The killshot, I guess. Hit him square in the head apparently, and he dropped.

Who knows whether I should believe a word she's saying or not, but if you ask me... I think Zalsarona's statement clears her. If I'm right... the quiet gunshot from the southwest was Nico from the train, right? And the loud one from the west would've been our sniper. The people filming the movie... they heard the shot from the same area too, didn't they?



If you ask me, the whole thing gives us some nice insight into how this went down. There's a couple things I think we gotta check though, just to be sure. North Star said he'd help me out with a few of these, so keep that in mind.

First, I'm gonna change into some ratty cowboy clothes and climb up the Water Tower with a hunting rifle from the gun store. I'd like to get North Star to prop up a body from the Mines with a broom or something, then I'll take a shot at it like the one that took out Stiles. How does the body fall?

After I do that, prop up the body again and make the same shot, this time with North Star looking away. When I make the shot, I'd like him to turn to look at my spot on the tower, and as soon as I make the shot, I'll dive into the water. Does he see anything?

I'll do the same thing again, but this time I'll have North Star in the train aiming his pistol at the body. Can he see me from where he is?

Then, try the same checks but with the Outhouse. Instead of diving into the water, I will duck either behind or inside the Outhouse after I make my shot. Does the body fall similar to Derek still? Can North Star see me if I hide? Am I visible from the train if he is also aiming at Derek?



Ah, yeah. Let's check the hotel room for any firearms too. The roof as well, and the general area outside the windows.
