DAY 9 - Signal Lost
(6 hours ago)McJango Wrote: If we smell the ashes what do they smell like?Fire.
Jokes aside, the ashes do not have any significant odd smells in addition to the normal smell of ash.
(6 hours ago)North Star Wrote:You do this, finding you can easily carry the bees with the body in a bedsheet. Even then, when you collect an entire quantity of dead bees necessary to kill someone, they still don't create as much ash.(6 hours ago)Superchao Wrote: You agitate the bees, and they violently attack Skull Face. He doesn't make it further than directly out the Saloon north entrance before collapsing.
You scoop up the dead bees and burn them. That is not enough ash.
(6 hours ago)Jessica Wrote: Can we inspect the Liturgic barrier on the shrine just in case? You inspect the Liturgic Barrier. It's a powerful seal of Liturgic energy. You press your hand to it and it's functionally a solid wall.
A-Also... uh... what's the amount of beeswax like in the Plot hive versus the Caboose hive?
Does beeswax or combs burn like the ash we found up north?
Looks like the same quantities of beeswax overall, relative to the sizes of the hives.
You burn beeswax. It leaves definite residue, which the pile does not have.
(5 hours ago)Madame Zalsarona Wrote:You, Panimajesh Canary Detective, investigate the beehives in detail. No foreign objects have been hidden inside either one.Ok, so. Since I'm currently an overcooked zucchini in the basement, me investigating now would be completely out of character.
But I also want to investigate shit, so fuck it,
You are now playing as Panimajesh, Canary Detective
Let's check the plot beehives and caboose beehives for any foreign objects that may be hidden inside them.
Also, obligatory check for anything that was buried inside the plot.
You investigate the plot. The plants are beginning to sprout! No other items there besides that, though.
(5 hours ago)Ranger Wrote: I wanna take a look at them bee boxes on the train. Are they held together with nails? Glue? Somethin' else?Looks like they were nailed together.
What if I get enough wood to build one of 'em and burn it without puttin' it together? Does the ash match the other pile?
Burning an equivalent amount of wood, only, leaves a pile of ashes larger than the pile you have.

Examine the weird pile of ash by purple. Where is it relative to any doors and/or windows in the building?
Can we dump a full bag of bees on Skull Face from the second floor window of the Mayor's Office and see where that gets us?
Drop the bag on the ground too.
Does Kroos think this sounds like what she heard?
If we burn the bag up north afterward, does that create the right amount of ash?

I soak a bedsheet in some idk river water or something then pass it off to Jessica who drops it. Sound similar?
(4 hours ago)Jessica Wrote: Can we taste and/or sniff the very wet Saloon bedsheet? You taste and sniff it. Oh god, regret. It smells and tastes like dirty tunnel water that's been stagnant for five days.
And... um, is there still that bank bag in the Farrier?
...
The bank bag is in the Farrier, yes.

Burn bedroll to ash, ash pile same size?
Push Elster over on the ground where she's at and have Ranger stand in the Kroos spot. Can he hear it?
Is there any evidence of any traps around the, um, rims or underside of any of Purple or Blue? I mean... maybe if someone set up a trap to go off on one of those buildings automatically... moreso Purple, since I think we figured out that Elster had to be attacked near there? Yeah...
Mostly look at the eaves near the Mayor's Office... maybe a bit to the east, too.

There is a large splotch of something high up on the west wall of the Purple Building, directly above where the body was found. It appears the large splotch is honey.

In relation to the rooms of the Purple Building, where is that honey splotch?
Dunk honey on Skull Face (provided he consents). Do the bees attack him? Do they eat all the honey off him leaving no trace of it?
(3 hours ago)Jessica Wrote: Does Elster have a distinct smell of honey, or any indication that she had it on her previously?Elster does not smell, taste, look, feel, or sound like she has/had honey on her.
She is also not wet.

(3 hours ago)Akira Kogami Wrote: Dunk honey on Skull Face (provided he consents). Do the bees attack him? Do they eat all the honey off him leaving no trace of it?The bees swarm the hell out of him. You can't see him underneath the swarm of bees, he's completely covered.
When they leave, there are trace elements of honey, and he smells like honey as well. He is fine, however - it looks like if you're just covered in honey, the bees don't get aggressive and do not sting.
(3 hours ago)McJango Wrote: is there missing honey from any of the hives on the train ?(i.e the Caboose Bees)The Caboose Bees appear to have all their honey.
