like the companion cube being one of those escort characters that you have to lead around and you're supposed to form deep emotional bonds w/them because they help you open doors or w/e

yea i just played through portal 1 like a week back for the first time in like 5 years and i liked it a lot more and got a lot more out of it than i remember

well yeah; we live in the perspective where bowser's capitalist goals have been reached and now the worker's freedom and the movement for it is shifted to socialism

Yeah not only is Peach a monarch but she totally sucks at it. She gets kidnapped frequently, and even when she's not kidnapped, she never does anything. She's always golfing and throwing elaborate life-size board games, but ffs we never see her signing any laws or doing anything to modernize the kingdom. I mean what about a decent road system? People have to travel through her kingdom through the sewers, so much for public health. Speaking of which where are all the hospitals and schools? The Mushroom Kingdom sucks and accomplishes nothing.

What does Bowser want? His ultimate evil goal in every game is just to take over the Kingdom. We're never really given any reason to believe he'd do a bad job. And Mario wants to get his dick wet so he goes and kills the shit out of Bowser's followers who are really just minding their own business in these cheerful landscapes that Mario could easily just walk around. Fuck that guy
