DAY 8 - Canal Buddies
(3 hours ago)Jessica Wrote: Is there anything off in the Blacksmith? I don't know if there's maybe signs of what Ranger was working on, or McJango's... pyrite. You check the Blacksmith. The furnace is full of ashes and of half-melted pyrite. The whole place is full of uncomfortable fumes, really.
Also, some metal has been taken, both working metal and a metal rod.

Does the sound library in blue keep any kind of record on when files were last played? Anything?
(3 hours ago)Jessica Wrote: Are there explosives in Explosive Storage that can be detonated using a remote from across the town? There are not. All explosives in Explosives Storage are basically Throw and Go types.
(3 hours ago)Cascabela Wrote: Prepare several types of red dye using pulverized rock and the following binders, if available on the map: honey, wax, linseed oil, chalk, rubia. Do any of these taste like the dye on Bud?You prepare the dyes with the crushed rock. It seems like honey, wax, and rubia all impart a taste that makes it clearly different. Linseed oil and chalk do not compart a taste that overrides the earthy tastes, and thus can match.

(3 hours ago)Jessica Wrote: Where can we find linseed oil and chalk?Linseed oil is in the General Store and the Restaurant. Chalk is in the Schoolhouse and the General Store.
Is there any missing from the locations that they're found in?
Oil may be missing in the General Store, you cannot tell. Some of it is definitely missing in the Restaurant.
Chalk is not missing.

(2 hours ago)Jessica Wrote: Can we check the rooms of every dead player for anything that's weird? All three dorms, I guess.Strong Bad's sheets are wet.
I know we checked Tsavorae already, but I guess we can look again...?
That's it.
Also, upon re-examining the Barber, you realize a dentist's drill is also missing.

Dip a finger into the dye in Bud's barrel. Is it oily?
Is the dye in the barrel an exact match for something made with red rocks and linseed oil, or is there a subtle difference in texture or something like that?
Do they taste the same?
Can we also run the tests with clay, specifically the type of clay from Ranger's flag?

(2 hours ago)Jessica Wrote: Is the dye in the barrel an exact match for something made with red rocks and linseed oil, or is there a subtle difference in texture or something like that?It looks like it's a close match, but not quite perfect. You may be able to create a better match somehow.

They taste similar, however.
You run the tests with clay. The clay does not work well as a binding agent.
(2 hours ago)Jessica Wrote: Extra investigation:You do. It appears the lung water is generally about as harmful as copper-contaminated water.
Can we have Elden Ring compare the taste/harmfulness of Bud's lung water to the copper water we dunked them in for testing purposes?

If I go get TNT and put its binding agents in the rock dye, does that hold it together?
