Have you ever changed your opinion on anything because of a post on the internet?

I've changed plenty of my opinions (>tfw you used to think GamerGate wasn't stupid), but I don't think any of them were changed because I read a very smart post from someone who is probably also very handsome and rich.

Have you ever read a post that made you do a complete 360 on a subject?

i used to be more of an apolitical libertarian, but in the past couple of years i've been empathizing with liberal causes thanks to people making well reasoned arguments that don't solely rely on regurgitating rhetoric.

doesn't mean that i still don't have a bit of libertarianism in me though.

i got schooled on a lot of social issues online that made me a better person

The internet opened my eyes to a lot of new perspectives that I would've never thought of/discussed with others before so in some cases yes.

Nazi punching is not one of those cases.

I used to really like communism and i still kinda do but i became much more wary of some aspects of it (e.g. the violent revolution part) after reading various other people's opinions

also the mods of the socialism subreddit hate catgirls. I can't support those who hate catgirls

this is how movements break apart and splinter groups happen

Can't say that there was ever a post that did, no.

I used to be an authoritarian traditionalist young earth creationist Pentecostal.

So what do you think

Well it wasn't really a post, but it was someone on the Internet who made me realize that I don't want to commit genocide on Catholics. I still feel bad even thinking about it.

probably not individual posts, but discussions sure

not necessarily discussion i've taken part in, mind. discussions i've read

changed at how i approach mario rpg opinions generally to avoid conflict, largely due to the fact that ive been a little too hard on the series too often. I guess also how i use the word retarded as well as just calling someone that just because they act stupid seems to be really uncalled for, but thats about it really.
