Oh man don't get me started on "necroing", "bumping" etc. For 30 years internet hallway monitors have been so dissatisfied with the banality of actually-effective moderation that they've decided to pretend database tables have expiration dates just to give themselves something to yell at people about. You can post in whatever thread you want here

okay but you gotta admit posting in half a decade old threads for no reason other than to bring attention to an already dead and stale topic can be seen as kind of niche and annoying for a few reasons
