Foolish FOOL Super Mario RPG invented the timed hit! Super Mario RPG is the foundation for every Mario RPG that you hold dear....

(except for the bad ones)


Actually as far as strategy goes, its actually a lot more straightforward than Paper Mario and M+L. Aside from the usual Squaresoft elemental weaknesses and stuff from that era, you can pretty much throw w/e at most enemies and be ok. Most of your damage output will come from really good use of the timed hits and Mario's jump spells. If you're balls-to-the-walls you can use Mario's Super Jump to OHKO most bosses.
