FLASHBACK LIGHT: Show

Groggily, you pick yourself up off the red, carpeted floor. You take a look around, and see crowds of people in front of doors to a... dance floor? They're all standing, still as a statue, it's as if time has stopped, but the place, despite this, gives you a sense of nostalgia.

You push past the immobile people, and notice a moving body at last. DREI is walking around, with a tray of drinks. He offers one to you, and you take it graciously, downing it before heading onto the dance floor, and further onto the stage, where you stand in front of your faithful DJ equipment.

You remember now, this is your debut performance. This is when...

You start your set, and suddenly, time starts again, a blur of rhythm and bodies. You recognize some of your captive audience too now. They seem... familiar? But... that would be... Suddenly your hands slip, and your throat seizes up. Your head starts to pound, and the music stops. Gasping for air, you look across the crowd of confused people and see DREI again, who looks, grinning, from you to a man you don't recognize. Almost like he's... blurred out?

DREI... the drink... You claw at your throat, suffocating...

DREI gives the man a thumbs up, and the man presses a button on a remote as you collapse to the floor gasping. The last things you remember before you lose consciousness are the spotlights above crashing down on a screaming audience, and later an unbearable heat from all around you.

You come to your senses with a gasp for air.
