I've been doing some snooping around the last few nights and have found quite a few interesting things! And it looks like I haven't been the only one, so I figured it might be best to try and collect everything we discover!
I've only been paying attention to things discovered on Studio A in general, so anything interesting in Studio B's probably passed me by.
FOLDER 1:
Alex found some sort of folder in the records room on night two talking about Project Terror. I'll just paste what he shared here!
"The folder labeled "Project Terror" discusses a rather unclearly defined AI project, which the studio was paid to allow to occur just outside their studio on their property. According to the record, DNA from one of the staff members at the time was used in the base for this AI. Also mentioned is the "Neo World Program 5.0", but it is not elaborated on"
RECEPTION COMPUTER:
I did a little bit of snooping around myself, and found the password to the computer in the reception!
-In the one labeled PRODUCTION_NOTES, you find a text file listing various expenses and the relative costs of props. The only things that stick out to you are the date, which is in the late 90’s, and a prop labeled “Despair’s Wish”, which apparently costs $6,000,000.
-In the one labeled Pictures, there are several low-quality photos of Trip hanging around a movie set that looks like an old west train. Xavier and someone you don’t recognize are in one of the photos as well.
-In the one labeled Saved Emails, there is a brief email exchange between the studio’s email account, which doesn’t appear to be logged in, and the “Paranormal Research Society”. They appear to involve the studio requesting information on something called “The Deceiver”. The emails appear to have been sent from Studio B’s account.
-A text file is on the desktop named “shhhhhh”, which contains the text “key in the machine” over and over and over.
VENDING MACHINE FLASH DRIVE:
I found this in one of the vending machines!
"You plug the flash drive into a computer in the Audio Lab. It contains two folders. One, labeled "Storyboards", has a sequence of drawings depicting someone you don't recognize hitting a glass walkway with a hammer. The other, labeled "Endgame Test Footage", is password locked."
FOLDER 2:
Honoka found this folder in.... the records room too!
"It appears to be a file containing information on the "Despair's Wish", a large black diamond worth millions. Normally it would be completely priceless, as the file goes on to say, but according to various myths, it carries a powerful curse with it, and supposedly contains the power to capture souls on a mass level.
It was said to have been sought after by various wannabe magicians looking to create a "soul battery", but each person who obtained the jewel fell into a terrible fate, along with those surrounding them, apparently due to the jewel's "endless hunger".
The final pages are studio notes, which go on to call the rumors "practically bullshit", and state that they're overall good for the production, as the relative cheapness of the item, combined with the massive hype potential that using something like this in a film would bring, makes it an ideal prop for use in a horror film."
CURSED ITEMS:
There seems to be a lot of cursed junk in the prop warehouse! I think Xavier mentioned something about the Lifeblood Amulet, and NintendoEmploye took a bunch from the warehouse too!
I think that's all the stuff I've been able to find so far. If anyone from Studio B can help share things that'd be great!
Courtesy of Honoka yet again!
-The one labeled “Flashback Light Test Log” details the development and initial testing of something called a Flashback Light, which apparently can induce pre-programmed flashbacks that feel like real memories. According to the file, they were developed by “XW Research And Development” in order to give people the experience of “experiencing media for the first time”, by overwriting the initial viewing. The initial animal testing proved to be successful.
-The one labeled “Folklore of the Minus Peninsula” features an illustration of a Wendigo, and describes it as a mythical creature from old native folklore. Apparently the actual creature from the folklore does not at all represent the figure used in the film. Culturally, a Wendigo was closer to a ghoul or possessed man, rather than a deer skulled monster, which is a relatively modern portrayal.
Found in one of the trucks in the Garage during Night 8's investigation!
You are standing in what looks to be Garage, albeit a little less, messed up than it is now. The Janitor is in here, idly sweeping up a pile of what looks to be loose gravel. Someone who feels... obscured, like you can't remember enters, and begins looking through one of the drawers for a bit, before turning to the Janitor and asking if he's seen a flashlight anywhere.
The Janitor asks why, and the hazy figure mentions that he wants to try an experiment. With a quizzical look on his face, the Janitor passes him a flashlight, that looks very similar to the one in your hand, minus all the high-tech stuff on it.
