You disappeared into the night, found a hideout far away from your old boss, and your off-shore bank account has more than enough money for you to retire in luxury. Too bad you're stuck in town until the cops catch this "Kira". Worse, your contacts have informed you there's another hitman in town, probably your replacement.

You have a vial of antidote left over from your old job. Once per game, you may use the antidote on yourself or another player.

You also have poison of your own, but it's less than the dosage you'd normally use. It might still work... Once per game, you may target a player with a poisoned dart, attacking under cover of night. The poison works slowly, first causing nausea and dizziness, before the victim experiences fatal organ failure.

Your goal is to use your antidote to treat a poisoning.

By outliving L and escaping the quarantine, @Fun With Despair has won again. He was the Second Kira, a man who inherited the power of a god.

Fun with Despair, you are the Second Kira. You've inherited the Death Note after your progenitor went mad and engineered his own death. As a Kira, you will be hunted by police. However, if the previous one was able to last this long, you consider yourself more than capable of outsmarting law enforcement.

Your Shinigami Eyes allow you to see a person's real name by looking at them. You may, once per night, sneak out and search for another player. The heightened police presence in the area means you'll spend all night out, and you will not have access to your Death Note until the next day.

If you choose to stay home, you may write any number of names in your Death Note. The human whose name is written in the Death Note shall die that night. By default, your victim will die of a heart attack, though you may include an alternate method of death within reason.

Your goal is to escape the quarantine by killing L.

This role was not originally planned, but the events of night 1 necessitated some improvisation.

Drunk on power, Fun with Despair has long given up on his quiet retirement. With his knowledge of criminal enterprise, he dismantles local and foreign mafias from within, exploiting their downfall for his personal gain. The combined earnings of dozens of organized crime syndicates would be enough to live comfortably for a thousand lifetimes, but Despair has never settled for “good enough.” Rumor has it he grows bored of working with underground crime, and plans to turn his attention to larger-scale targets…

By outlasting the detectives and surviving the quarantine, StirlADrei has won. He was the assassin, a rising star in the yakuza world.

StirlADrei, you're in tight with the local yakuza. You get VIP access to every night club in 100 miles, you party with the elites of the business world, and the pay's not half-bad either. All you have to do is get rid of a "problem" every once in a while. It's an easy job, except when you get locked in a quarantine zone while pursuing your target. You'll need to be at the top of your game to knock off your mark, but once you get back, you're sure to get a fat bonus.

You've packed a poisoned dart, for use on a particularly uncorrupt detective. Once per game, you may target a player with your dart, attacking under cover of night. The poison takes a full day to do it's work, but it's 100% lethal if left untreated, and you've never seen a target get treatment in time.

Your goal is to ensure that the detective dies, and then survive the quarantine.

Your real name is Restrict Charity.

Outlasting either the detective or L would've met the assassin's goal.

By some miracle, the mob never came for StirlADrei. He took the first train out of town, eager to report his success. Not only was his main target arrested without possibility of parole, he took down the world’s greatest detective. Impressed with his work, StirlADrei’s employer scheduled a meeting at one of their hostess clubs to discuss his career path. However, just before their meeting, Stir trips on his shoelaces and falls down a flight of stairs, sustaining a serious concussion. Displeased with his failure to attend, the yakuza functionally ex-communicate Stir, never even paying him for this job. If only he hadn’t posted his role PM, perhaps he could’ve avoided this bittersweet fate…

By surviving the quarantine, @Kright has won. He was the NEET, a dedicated train enthusiast.

Kright, you are a typical NEET. Each day, you quest in an MMO, get into arguments on 2chan, and photograph trains for your blog. At least, you would, if the quarantine hadn't shut down rail transit in the area.

You've developed acute paranoia, making you aware of any actions performed on or around you.

Your goal is to put an end to Kira's killing spree, either through his lawful arrest or his death.

Your real name is Expectation Mile.

The trauma he experienced during the quarantine forced Kright to re-evaluate his life. He begun taking night classes at a public university, and earned a culinary arts degree. Nowadays, you can find him at a small bakery next to the train station, serving delicious treats to commuters.

By surviving the quarantine, @Snufferin Snagglepuss has won. He was the pickpocket, an expert in both small-scale cons and international identity fraud.

Snufferin Snagglepuss, you've hated this shithole of a town from the moment you were born into it. Everyone's either a moron or a psychopath, or both. Being a reasonable man, you survive the only way you know how: stealing from the unworthy and giving to yourself. Of course, the police buzzing around after this "Kira" have only made your job more difficult. You'll have to do something about that guy.

Each night, you may pickpocket another player, taking their wallet. Most people have stopped carrying cash, so you've gotten into identity fraud. There's a lot of money to be made off of a person's identity...

Your goal is to the survive the quarantine, by whatever means you see fit.

Your real name is Stubborn Run.

The main purpose of the pickpocket role was to obtain player names by stealing their ID. However, several of these attempts failed due to unforeseen circumstances, like targeting a player who wasn’t in the game.

Snufferin Snagglepuss has given up pick pocketing, but his illegitimate business is booming. Police suspect he has his hands in dozens of criminal enterprises across the world, though anyone who investigates his cases seems to mysteriously pass away before finding solid evidence. Some say he has ties to Kira himself…

By skirting death at the last moment and escaping the quarantine, @Elyk has won. He was the twin.

Oh, except you have an identical twin, @Draku. That's kind of unique. You and @Draku are concerned about the Kira case. The quarantine isn't going to get lifted until someone catches him, and the police in town are hardly competent. Maybe you should take things into your own hands.

Since you and @Draku are identical twins, people have trouble telling you apart, especially at night.

Your goal is to survive the quarantine.

Your real name is Practice Maximum.

Any action targeted at Elyk had a 50% chance of affecting Draku instead, and vice versa. If more players joined the game, there would’ve been a third Secret Twin role, who knew he had a twin somewhere in town, but was separated at birth and had no additional information. This would’ve meant an even 1/3 chance of any of them being hit when one of them was targetted.

By doing absolutely nothing, @Draku has won. He was the twin.

Draku and Elyk decide to spend more time together following the quarantine. Elyk makes Draku watch Azumanga Daioh, the anime Seinfeld, and Draku starts participating in Elyk’s figurine improv theatre. They manage to re-enact nearly every episode of Symphogear, except the really shit ones. Having lost his only Chaika figurine, Draku spends an irresponsible amount of money on a new one. He is still convinced her bushy eyebrows are cute.

By surviving the quarantine, @Jetamo has won. He was the survivalist, a self-appointed expert in living through disaster.

Jetamo, you've been preparing for this your entire life. People laughed at you, called you crazy, but you knew the day would come. Years of living off the grid have made you a survivor. Though a quarantine isn't quite on the scale of the alien invasion you were expecting, you'll still be the last man standing when the dust clears.

* a breathing mask and oxygen tank in case of airborne disease or chemical weapons attack,
* enough non-perishable food to last several years,
* a fishing rod,
* a book on local edible plants and berries, and
* several hundred rolls of duct tape.

Jetamo openly brags about his role in ending the quarantine, having encountered many key players during his adventures. He becomes a local celebrity, and begins teaching day classes on survival skills. His students are wowed by his expertise and tales of his vital contributions to the town. The only time he ever frowns is when he’s asked about L, the great detective. On the weekends, Jetamo usually goes fishing with his new friend Kright.

Zange, you are L, the world's greatest detective. You've tracked the murderer Kira to a small area in Japan, and have instituted a quarantine until he can be brought to justice. Of course, you'll remain within the quarantine zone. This case is too interesting to leave in the hands of local police.

As a famed detective, you may make daily announcements to be broadcast anonymously. Submit your announcement during the day, and it will be shared at the start of that night.

Additionally, once per game, you may make a formal arrest. Submit the name of the player you intend to arrest to have them apprehended that night. Be careful, as the arrest will be public: you will be seen apprehending the suspect.

Your goal is to put an end to Kira's killing spree, either through his lawful arrest or his death.

Your real name is Start Dilemma.

No one ever private messaged the L account, but I would’ve forwarded any messages it received to Zange.

Superchao, you are a local detective on the Kira Task Force. You've received information that Kira is in your hometown, and have chosen to stay behind during the quarantine to bring him to justice.

You are an expert in covertly tailing suspects. You may only investigate one player per night, tracking actions they performed and those performed on them. Your skill ensures that an unaware target will not notice you following them.

Your goal is to put an end to Kira's killing spree, either through his lawful arrest or his death.

You were, until the quarantine fucked it all up. Maybe you aren't the toughest, the smartest or the most skilled, but nothing's going to prevent @Two_Finger and you from touring Europe together.

Each night, you keep a close eye on @Two_Finger, to protect them from hooligans and malcontents. You'll notice any actions perfomed on @Two_Finger, and you're willing to beat the shit out of anyone who means them harm. There's a serial killer on the loose, after all.

Your goal is to ensure @Two_Finger and yourself survive the quarantine.

Two_Finger, you knew this was a bad idea. Even though they live in a crime-ridden hellhole, you let @Hearts convince you to move in with them. Now, before you've even finished unpacking, you find out there's an internationally wanted serial killer running around, and the whole town is under quarantine. What would your mother think if she found out?

Anticipating some danger, you packed a taser. You may target another player each night and tase them, preventing them from doing much of anything until the next morning. Unfortunately, it only has an effective range of about five feet, so your target will know you zapped them when they wake up.

Also, @Hearts says they're going to look out for you in town. You're not sure what they mean, but you're holding them to account on that. This is all their fault.
