like he would be older but he keeps dying and getting groundhog day'd so he's just like stuck on one day of his life just forever. the reason mario stories are so formulaic is because it's really just the same thing happening on loop w slightly different circumstances depending on what mario decided to do that day.

Yeah, it's really not something most people consider. It's like trying to give Mickey Mouse or SpongeBob an exact age.
It's not something I actually thought too hard about either but 24 is definitely not something Mario and his appearance would lead you to believe.
