Hm, looks like no one's taken a look at those gunshots...

Stand that guy, The Noise up on his feet in front of the oven. What side of the body are the gunshot wounds on? Does it look like he was shot from below (oven height), or an average height like someone standing in front of him?

Any bullets still in his body? Is it pistol ammo, buckshot, slugs, etc?

Let's check the blood trail too, while we're at it. Does it look like drag marks? Dripping? How prevalent are the footsteps in it?

Does it look like The Noise could've dragged himself while injured?

You stand up the Noise in front of the oven, and Evangeline takes a look. She reports that it looks like, from the size of his wounds, the entry wounds all imply he was being shot from the direction of the oven itself.

You dig through his body and find a couple bullets. They look like pistol ammo, small caliber stuff.

The blood doesn't have any dragging or sliding marks. It looks like more a series of pools. The footsteps appear to run the entire length of the trail.

You examine the bullet wounds of the Noise. It seems that they're concentrated in his torso and arms. While you can't be sure, if the bullets didn't kill him he may have been able to walk, just due to the lack of leg injuries.

I can't believe this. ⠀First, my closest friend... ⠀ ⠀ And now, my second deputy, dead...

The Noise... I wish I had another watch and a ⠀photo of you I could ⠀put in it. If I find out who did this to you, I'll

First things ⠀st, I ⠀decided after yesterday that security in the sheriffs office needed to be ⠀stepped up. Especially with McJango at large. So I started my night off by grabbing ⠀a recording device from Film Equipment. On my way back, ⠀I passed Zeppeli on the breakroom stairs, and saw Hollywood Bowl enter the ⠀Blue ⠀Building as I was leaving.

Back in the office, I set up my recorder near the ⠀guns. You can never be too careful ! Shortly after, my First Deputy Tsavorae arrived and I gave her a briefing on our current priority - ⠀bringing McJango to justice. Killing game or no, the law is the l

I also decided I'd help out my fellow lawman ⠀and put up a WANTED poster for ⠀"Texas Red" in the sheriff's office.

After that, I went out to find Hollywood Bowl, spotting North Star heading for the saloon. ⠀I found Mr. Bowl leaving the Green Building. I suggested we ⠀resume filming - he was ⠀enthusiastic to carry on, so we headed over to the Soundstage and got ⠀to work⠀( passing Deathborn taking a break). Once we're ⠀done, ⠀it was finally time to ⠀go ⠀to the saloon. On the way, I saw Akira leaving the Prickly Pear dorm.

As soon as I arrived - BANG! - ⠀⠀some kind of gun shot ⠀goes off upstairs. I noticed Reginald, Ranger, Partitio, Strong Bad and Cascabela⠀were all here at the ⠀time. Suspicious... If that's not enough, Ranger and Partitio went upstairs - via the Brewery and Restaurant stairs, ⠀respectively

After all ⠀my hard work, I decide to ⠀treat my self to a ⠀piping hot slice of pie. So I head upstairs too . I dont know what Partitio did to the Restaurant - an oven was broken, the potatoes were ruined , and someone had spilt blood all the way from ⠀the oven to the Gambling Parlor. ⠀ And what's worse - as soon as I arrived , he ⠀fled the scene and went straight into the Hotel !! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Not looking good for you, Partitio... You better clean all this ⠀mess up... i'm the Sheriff of this town.

Luckily, the pie ⠀was unharmed, so I ⠀grabbed a slice. Mmm... ⠀very tasty! I went downstairs and spotted Neil and ⠀King of Clubs. After⠀last night's debacle, I decided I'd ⠀help out Mr. of Clubs ⠀by tending the bar myself.

[Image: TM1U5Bi.gif] [Image: RtbZoaO.png]

Reginald finished his drink and went out to the west and Partitio returned from upstairs, started ⠀rooting around and then left too, as did Cascabela and King of CLubs. Later, Madame Zalsarona ⠀came in but ⠀didn't stick around for long... she just dropped some supplies ⠀off.

I got a little bored ⠀of this place and suggested to the other patrons ⠀- Neil, Strong Bad and Reginald (who had appeared again at⠀some point (EDIT: he had returned a little while before zalsarona arrived) that I treat them to a game of cards ⠀in the officer's club. ⠀On the way, my deputy ⠀Tsavorae appeared from the Blue Building so I ⠀told her to come along t ⠀. We passed by Nico as we went into ⠀my office.

I nearly came out on top... but ⠀Neil managed to ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀win.

Finally, I went back to the office, ⠀grabbed my recording device and went to bed.

Let's see what my recording device picked ⠀u

Operation Silver Junction investigative report Day 2.

Operator Jessica was killed in action... In actuality, is "dishonorably discharged" is the correct term here? She was summarily and swiftly executed for her crime, a cold blooded murder, Doctor. But still. It didn't feel... Right. Maybe it's because I don't even know where she's buried. Or if she's alive at all. So when I woke up this evening, I thought -- the bare minimum I can do is bring one of our own "home", even if I can't do it to Rhodes Island directly.

Luckily there's a room dedicated to carpentry south of our dorm room, so I took some time assembling a grave. I saw McJango enter Carpentry via Blacksmith and exit north back to the dorm. Maybe he forgot something...? King of Clubs also passed by from the south and went upstairs. I left to the south soon enough, to the graveyard here, and I marked a spot for her. That may be the final end for all of us soldiers, Doctor, one we can't escape from. But letting it go unremarked isn't something I can or am willing to do.

I left soon afterward. As I passed Mizzlebip with her horse, I was still in a bit of a melancholic mood, so I entered the Saloon. Reginald and Cascabela were there chatting the night away; even indiscretions should be recorded, so for the record allow me to say I set to drinking. Marisa and Ace Ventura both entered while I was doing so -- Ace came in from the Brewery and left to the Gun Store, and I'm not sure which way Marisa went.

I got the whimsy of the tipsy after this as they say, and went upstairs to the restaurant. I accompanied Bud with a cactus and took a pressure cooker to retool into makeshift armor. Use everything at your disposal, right? Bud went to the Farrier. From here I went to the Blue Building's executive office. There was a roller chair in there just like the one Elite Operator Logos used to race around on...

Well, as I said before, I got the whimsy of the tipsy. Director Hollywood Bowl didn't find it as entertaining as I did and he dumped me out of there. I don't mind~ I was being a bit naughty anyway. Here after I went to Newspaper and did some investigating. I found an article about a reverend passing away and a traveling preacher named Spencer Edwards taking his place...? Isn't this a movie set? I wish Operator FEater was here to confirm or deny if it was set dressing.

I saw Partillo go back to his dorm and decided I should probably turn in too. Leaving through the Chapel, Lynne and Agent Evangeline were chatting. From here I went to a mostly solid sleep, except when I heard a right awful racket. On the one hand, I'm glad to have avoided any personal confrontation; on the other, I wish nothing had or will happen to the civilians here, but I get the feeling it's only going to get worse. If you have any commands or can read this report, please contact me immediately.

End of Operation Silver Junction investigative report day 2.

You listen to the recording device. It contains a recording of a conversation between Not Shane and Tsavorae, mostly about the former assigning the latter to capturing McJango. After that, you hear nothing for a while, until hearing a single pair of footsteps that stops and then starts again, followed by a whole lot of footsteps at once.

You inspect the blood pattern. While you can't confirm one way or another if it was before or after death, you can tell there's a bunch of blood directly around the stab wound.

"Meow!"

McJango looks at you with big eyes. He wonders if perhaps this testimony will be enough for a reward of treats or wet food? He paws at the thought to the translator and the screen flashes the text 'Victorian Novelist '.
-

Greetings, I am called 'What’s in Your Mouth? Desist from that unwise indulgence!' Mcjango—yet you may refer to me simply as McJango.

The evening unfolded in tranquil repose, I took it upon myself to observe the intricacies of my camera within the blacksmith's realm before proceeding through the domain of Carpentry, where I chanced upon Kroos diligently crafting a grave marker—a solemn testament to the passage of time.

[Image: 59c845605689ff7d30aafe9700e129eda0cae43c.pnj]

Thereafter, I united with my esteemed companion Roland, embarking together upon an exploration of the melancholic Ruined Mines, where the whispers of forgotten souls echo amidst our adventures.

In the dim recesses of the earth, we descended, driven by an insatiable curiosity that binds kindred souls in the pursuit of discovery. Together, we unearthed a remarkable assemblage of silver stones and mystic molds until we encountered a cavernous impasse that barred our way. Roland, with an air of contentment, seemed to have satiated his quest for the hidden treasures of nature; thus, we chose to part ways and leave the mines.

[Image: 4221095fe154534ca29642bd6088d3bf6152badc.pnj]

As we parted he leaves to secure sanctum of the mineral storage, whilst I retreated to the repository of mining implements, each of us bearing the weight of our separate ambitions in the grand tapestry of endeavor...

As I cross the threshold into the realm of Mining Equipment, a resounding cry reverberates behind me, yet I choose to cast it aside, driven by the longing for the carpentry room where the gentle toil of creation beckons.

Herein lies Lynne, absorbed in her art of carving; thus, I find companionship in labor as time descends upon us. In the midst of our shared endeavor, we observe Gyro pass by making his descent into the shadowy depths below. Lynne doon leaves to ascend the area above and with her disappearance a sudden cacophony of gunfire interrupts the sanctity of my craft, a stark reminder of chaos in the world beyond.

[Image: f579b8afb6edb5bb65f18bace4901fa41cc58e4b.pnj]

Soon after, Lynne reappears, behind her accompanied by the illustrious Madame Zalsaroa, who navigates the space with a laden cart of purpose. With a brief interlude, she leaves the cart behind and vanishes toward the forge of iron and flame, returning just as the shadows stir once more. She travels upstairs and like before I hear a another round of tumultuous gunfire from the space above.

[Image: 150e566b1c4aac9257d455d7d74e7a221d43021c.pnj]

As I finished my task and the casting of long shadows that danced with the fading light, I retraced my steps to the sanctuary of the dormitory, a realm marked by the ephemeral joys of youth. A sudden surge of vitality swept over me, akin to the cavalier spirit of a playful feline; thus, I dashed through the room, a whirlwind of exuberance.

My attention, though diverted by the current of my own merriment, caught sight of a specter—clad in obsidian garments—who darted with alarming swiftness to Jessicas’ haven, unleashing a rage upon her resting place before vanishing as abruptly as it had appeared.

With this unsettling encounter lingering in my thoughts, I surrendered to the embrace of sleep, pondering the tumultuous nature of existence and the shadows that often escape our scrutiny.

The Gambling Parlor... What's the blood situation looking like in there, anyway?

Specifically I mean. Splatter, just a pool, that kinda thing.

You look around at the blood in detail. There's a blood trail that leads up to where you found the Noise's corpse, a larger pool that was directly underneath his corpse, and some blood splatter over one of the tables and a chair.

Ahhh great. Yep, this is officially a clusterfuck. Well, maybe I can make some money out of the burning wreckage. I think there's a market for this footage, and if we do some good post-production, we can hide the actual deaths and pass it off as good special effects.

What? I may not be happy about being in a Killing Game, but I'm not going to waste my time screaming about if I can do something productive. Now. On to what I saw on the previous night.

I woke up, and went over to the Blue Building. Place is a good headquarters, that's for sure. Met Neil Marshall in the Lobby there, talked with him. He's got a solid head on his shoulders. If we both survive, I'm thinking of keeping you on as legal consultant. We walked and talked near the end of the conversation, ending up right outside the Prickly Pear Dorm, and that's when the Noise showed up. He kept trying to hassle me about his role in the film. Guy wanted to be a major character with as much star power and tender heartfulness as possible. Eesh, why'd I have to get saddled with the prima donnas?

Anyway. I saw Hifumi walking over, and Noise ran off towards the north. Good riddance. I went into the dorm and upstairs to check out the costumes on display, wanted to see if we had the kind of wrestling gear that could gear up for a real match. During that, Nico came upstairs and went to the east, and Derek Stiles came in from the east and went downstairs. After that, I went down. Not Shane walked up and wanted me to film him.

Well... I do need to do some filming. Keep my touch. So I followed him, and went to the Soundstage. Did some filming there for a while, I got the footage handy if you need it. After that, he left, while I went down to my office. I found Kroos in my chair, so I politely asked her to leave it, and started doing some paperwork. It's a pretty vital part of production, even when production's... this kind of a mess. Kroos eventually took off as I worked, and when I was done, I stepped out.

And I found that the Archives door was broken. Seriously? That stuff's important to keep on record! I don't want people messing with it! So I went over to the Carpentry room to grab some parts to repair it. I found Honoka over there, and asked her to help. She's got experience with film, she knows what it's like. Even if it's her fault we're in this mess. Derek Stiles cut through as we got what we need, and then we went back over and finished the night repairing the door.

There is a window open to the outside in the Gambling Parlor. You do not see any blood around the window; however, there are marks around the window, leading up to the roof.

There's probably a ladder in the General Store, ain't there? Grab one and use it to climb to the roof. If it's not tall enough I'll take it inside instead, position it so it's going out the window, and climb from there while someone else holds the bottom end.

I don't think that's a good idea Ranger

You find that the General Store ladder does not reach all the way to the roof from the ground, but that with Roland holding the ladder at window level, you're able to climb up it as it reaches the roof from there. On your way up, you observe that the odd marks extend from adjacent to the Gambling Parlor window all the way up to a couple on the edge of the roof itself, where they stop.

You wander around the roof, bracing yourself in the wind, but find nothing else up here.
