Well, since she already has all those guns on her...~

Compare the bullet with the ones loaded in Tsavorae's guns. Also with the miscellaneous ammo she has. Any matches?
You compare the bullets. It looks like it's a pistol bullet - it matches the loaded pistols, and the miscellaneous ammo that fits into the pistols.

You doublecheck Tsavorae's body. It appears she was holding the sniper rifle when the coffin was open, crossed over her chest with a shovel. Like an Egyptian mummy.

Well y'all I didn't expect that, anyhow here's what I saw last night

I wanted to see if I could find out Texas Red's weaknesses from his right hand gal and went to talk to Momoyo over at the Mineral Storage. She wouldn't tell me anything anyhow even though I brought her a rock to eat. She's a strange one but I guess she's friends with Marty too.

It's true, she loves my music

Anyhow while we were talkin' Kroos came in and went to the Mine. Momoyo and I left round about the same time and I went over to the red buildin'. Elster was tryin' to get into that there Telegraph Office again with a pickaxe, Hollywood Bowl was filmin' the train, and Roland n' Ace were goin' down a ladder. I went into the Post Office and swiped some of Texas Red's mail. Seems he was doin' a lotta talkin' with Momoyo and Honoka. I went outside and tried to shoot open the Telegraph Office door but it didn't work, and I think I made Elster a lil' upset 'cause I almost hit her. Sorry about that ma'am, didn't mean nothin' by it. Then I went over to the Locomotive and saw Roland n' Ace leavin'. I saw Strong Bad over on the Train Platform and I stayed there fer a bit while I was drivin' the train. Sadly the train ain't goin' nowhere.

When I left, Strong Bad was workin' on that door while Elster was watchin', and North Star was goin' into the Post Office. Someone was takin' a bull away from the Livestock Corral but I didn't see who it was, I'm afraid. At the Farrier I saw Reginald playin' solitaire outside and Akira talkin' with Honoka. I went through the Stable and there were two horses there, then I went to the General Store. Nothin' goin' on in there but when I came out Tsavorae was chasin' that kitty McJango down the street. I was goin' into the blue buildin' and saw Mizzlebip comin' down the street on that horse o' hers, then North Star, and Hifumi comin' out of the blue buildin' while I was goin' in. I found Neil and Hollywood in the Theater and had a nice chat with the strange lookin' feller. Guess what y'all, he's gonna let me do the music fer that motion picture he's workin' on. Anyhow we watched the film fer a bit and it was pretty good, I reckon.

After that I went to the Sheriff's Office and found Not Shane lockin' up McJango. I'll be honest y'all, I ain't sure what that kitten did to get the law after him but I trust Not Shane's judgment 'round these parts. I went through the Army Post and saw Strong Bad goin' into the dorm, then I went into Desert Sage. I know some of y'all didn't care for Theodore but I gotta respect a fellow lawman, so I figured I'd bury some of his things as a show of respect. Well, there ain't nothin' there, even the feller's bedsheets are missin' fer some reason, but I did take one of the shelves from his nightstand. When I was leavin' there was someone out north headin' back towards the dorm, but I couldn't tell who that was neither. Then I buried Theodore's shelf out behind the Outhouse, I reckon that was his favorite spot. I went back to my dorm and saw a couple folks headin' towards the purple buildin' who I wasn't able to recognize.

When I got back to my dorm I found a note advertisin' some sorta strange event takin' place tomorrow. I don't reckon I'll be attendin'.

You look over the pictures of the grave, before it was dug up. It doesn't look like the best job in the world - the grave seems to be lumpy and misshapen, not a smooth and clean top. Specifically, it bulges a bit at the sides and dips a bit in the middle.

Operation Silver Junction investigative report Day 3.

I don't really want to admit it, but we did fail to get the right criminal last night. In the sense it almost feels like today's triple homicide is a punishment for getting it wrong -- the quote-unquote mastermind said it was standard procedure here. But how many times have they forced participation in this to even have a standard procedure...? And why...?

Doctor, it's those kind of thoughts that are driving me forward right now. There might not be a great reason for this place, but there has to be a reason. So I started where it all began for us -- back at the Ruined Mine. On my way there, I passed Ranger and Momoyo... But I couldn't find anything we hadn't already discovered on the first day.

Akira Kogami was hosting a party to celebrate her birthday so I did plan to make a quick stop in... Or she wanted to celebrate it? I guess maybe plans changed, because when I got there, the Saloon was totally sealed. Not even with a lock or key; it sort of looked like some Arts to me. Feeling kinda bad for the birthday girl, I gave up attending her party and went to the building designated Desert Agave -- though I did see her on my way in.

My first stop was the Officer's Club. My line of thinking was if it's anything like our organization they might have some paper lying around, Doctor. There were some insignia's on the wall for a bunch of divisions I've never heard of, including a Union Army Paranormal Division... Weird. I then proceeded to the Mayor's Office, and managed to catch a glimpse of Neil Marshall in the Courthouse. In between daily activity reports, I found a flyer advertising an important event at the Church.

Neil Marshall inspired me to also investigate any potential law documents at the Courthouse, so I made it my next stop. Here I found some of the usual legal spats, but mixed in was a suit against Spencer Edwards. That name again... I knew he wasn't just an actor. Seems as though he was thought of somewhat as a heretic amongst the townspeople and an attempt to litigate him out played out.

I think that was a fair amount of information collected, so I left via the General Store. On my way out I heard a thump from the Sheriff's Office. but I elected not to explore further... Since historically it seems as though sheriffs aren't long for the world in a town of outlaws, Doctor. I headed south from here to the Livestock area. Since the fowlbeast tamer passed away, I thought they might be lonely...~ While spending quality time with them I noticed a confrontation at the Red building between two people. I'm not exactly sure who exactly was fighting, but one went to the Corral and Water Tower and the other went towards the building sharing its designation with the Saloon.

Let's see, let's see... Oh, I also saw someone leave the Telegraph Building also heading to the Corral and Water Tower. Popular area. But by this time I was pretty bushed, so I headed to my sleeping quarters on the route between the building designated Telegraph and the building designated Saloon. Outside were the following people playing cards: Lynne, Akira Kogami, Honoka Kosakatua, Reginald Fikwerther, Ace Ventura, and Neil Marshall.

You know, Doctor... Even in these trying circumstances, I'm glad to see people are still celebrating and living in whatever way they can.

You view your film of the locomotive. It's mostly you playing with your Peroro carvings, setting them up to have adventures. During this, Deathborn walks up to the platform, carrying a large poker.

You ask him to play the role of the villain, and he agrees, menacing the innocent Peroros with his crimson evil. It's all fun and goofy. At the end, you thank him, gather up the Peroros, and turn off the camera as it captures someone approaching from the east.

(Feb 15, 2025 at 5:54 AM)Kroos the Keen Glint Wrote: Can I show off all the things I found tonight when the dust settles?
Yes!

You present three items of significance. The first is a badge from the Officer's Club. The whole club is full of these badges, units leaving markings of their time here, but this one stands out for saying Union Army Paranormal Division.

The second is a meeting flyer. It informs people that despite the current strife in Silver Junction, there is nothing to worry about. All will be taken care of and all questions will be answered. Attend the town assembly at the Church, to take place on July 20th, 1873.

The third is a lawsuit. It appears someone filed suit against Reverend Spencer Edwards in December 1872. The lawsuit accuses him of being a pagan, a heathen, and a man twisting the word of God to further his own unholy beliefs. It demands he be removed from his position as minister and exiled from Silver Junction immediately. It got thrown out for lack of standing.

Partitio Yellowil
Hoo, still feel like I'm dreamin'. Deathborn taken down in a triple murder, fancy that.

I'm real sorry for ya though, Momoyo. Losin' Marisa on the same night your boss kicks the bucket, 'n' all. But I've seen with my own eyes the hard workin' spirit you've got in ya! Becomin' the head honcho won't be any sweat for ya!

Mighty sorry someone went and scuppered your party, Akira. You find the culprit, and I'll give him a piece o' my mind. That ain't any way to treat a lady.

Anyhoo, reckon y'all want to hear what I was up to. You've seen the results already! If we're gonna be stuck here for a bit, figured it wouldn't hurt us to have a field to see what might grow. Thought it'd make a mighty fine birthday gift for Akira, and I was hopin' you might serve Zalsarona some too, hard as we've been makin' it on her to fix our suppers.

Once that sun had set, I scurried on over to Mining Equipment to stock up on tools for preppin' the field. Elster was here grabbin' a pickaxe, and I'm s'posin' she went and used it to get into that telegraph office. Roland took a few shovels for himself, and he had that Pale Horse in tow.

Much as I woulda liked to hear more 'bout that city he blew into town from, I didn't have time to gab, so I hustled it down main street towards the General Store. Someone was comin' down south from the Purple Building, and Mizzlebip took a little trip to the Stables, but the night was unwindin' fast, so I went on into the store without stoppin' for a chat.

Wrapped up my business and passed the birthday girl herself. Yessir, Akira was strollin' in as I strolled on out. From there, I found a nice plot of land for a field, with a little help from Momoyo. Ground's as dry as my old pal Floyd's sense of humor, so it'll take tappin' the water tower to get anything much growin', but we got plenty of water for that!

Once I had the lay of the land, I moseyed on over to the Livestock Corral. Heard two conversationalists 'round the Yellow Building, and saw Nico and Honoka meetin' by the Water Tower, if that means anything to anyone.

Once I was inside, well, ya can't expect a man to plow a field in one night, can ya? Lucky us, we got ourselves a sturdy 'n' strong ox. Figured I owed it to him to call him by name if we were gonna be workin' as partners, so I called him Ozzie after a pal of mine who was about the size of an ox!

Used a little bit of that ol' Partitio charm to coax Ozzie over to the field with me, and we got to work! Can't expect a draft animal to put in the effort if you ain't puttin' effort in alongside 'em, can you? Would've been better with two oxen, but I put my shovel in the dirt to touch up the job.

Eventually, we'd put in work enough to earn ourselves a break for victuals. So I stretched my legs and rounded the Purple Building to the north. Poked around up here for a spell, and then…

…well, let's just keep it at sayin' things didn't work out none. After a little dust-up, I caught a glimpse of someone draggin' a coffin north out of the Purple Building. I'd wager that's the same coffin our late deputy was in.

Still had a job to wrap up, so I went on back to the field and we got it lookin' nice as we could in one night. It ain't pretty, and it ain't gonna feed a town, but it'll do us while we're here!

Our job done, I guided Ozzie back on to the Corral, and moseyed my way back to bed, finding that toon 'n' poop note that's been makin' the rounds.

Roland

...Like I said, if someone had to die... Well, I get where one of these killers is coming from.

Deathborn... A guy like that has no business trying to run an operation like this. Another wannabe big-shot, running into the unfortunate reality that he couldn't take what he was dishing out. You get me, yeah? Taking people's lives to try and get a leg up, it was only a matter of time until someone got a bright idea in their head and took him out.

Haah... well, don't look at me. I needed him alive, he was the only one who could tell me what I needed to know.

About the Crimson Eye, I mean.

Really, that was most of what I was planning to do. I was gonna explore a little bit, head back to those underground laboratories, try to figure out more about what happened to this place. But with the mastermind gone, takin' his knowledge with him... Throws a wrench in my plans, I'll say that much. It's not over though, I can think of a few venues that might be worth looking at.

That's why I went to the Graveyard - but not before grabbing a couple of shovels and helmets. Something about the dates on those graves, it keeps comin' up, doesn't it? Between here, the train as I figured out later, and those carvings in the dead lady's room. Just rubs me the wrong way, that's all. So I figured I'd meet up with Ventura and the two of us could pass the time digging up some graves that looked like they had something neat.

...Eh, can't say we found much though. Picked up a skull, and that's about it. Seeing as it was pretty close by... we headed for the Train next. Thought we'd have better luck there.

If there was anywhere we might figure out what happened to the people around here, thought it'd be here. Employee records, luggage to look through... if they kept records like the companies back in the City, there'd have to be something. Someone sure didn't want us snooping around though - they started shooting at us from the platform until they eventually got tired of burning down their wallet wasting bullets.

Looked around the whole platform up and down - even pried a few panels off the train wall, but we didn't find anything. Except for the fact that the train service stopped abruptly, in 1873. Familiar, isn't it? Well, we headed out after that. Not much of a point wandering around when there's nothing to look at. I wanted to go to the party after that, but someone had other ideas, seemed like. Shut the whole place down.

...Didn't have much of a choice after that, so much for the Saloon. Tried to get info out of Deathborn who was standing around outside, but all he ended up doing was wasting my time gloating - and it seemed like Zalsarona was stuck in the same situation. We worked pretty well together back on our first night here, so I trusted her enough to watch my back. Food's the window to the soul right? Something like that.

...Besides, she killed the Noise. Ha, I'd like to see a stronger argument for someone's character than that!

First, we tried to look into that guy, Hollywood Bowl's office. Thought he might have a clue as to what's going on, but it didn't seem like he knew much more than the rest of us. Might've just been taken in by Deathborn's charisma, might just be a sucker for money. Who knows. Wouldn't be the first time someone got in over their head because of greed, probably won't be the last. Anyway, Agent Evangeline had the same idea and decided to scope the place out too, but she didn't fare much better than we did.

Well, there's safety in numbers, so the three of us - Myself, Zalsarona, and Evangeline - thought it might be worth heading back to those underground labs. 'Course, we ran into a few people on our way back to the bank... Marisa seemed like she was trying to spy on us in the office, but she got scared off when we noticed her. Neil Marshall and Hollywood Bowl went into the office after us, and there was someone down the street between the Saloon and the Orange dorms.

Someone was chasing around the cat too. Seriously... I don't understand why you guys are so obsessed with him...

Anyway... It was down there in the basement where things started to get interesting.

We split up down there, trying to take a closer look at the facility than we could last night. I took the Archives first, for a couple reasons. I'll be honest... I still don't have any idea how to decipher the jargon in all these, but I figured Agent Evangeline might know a thing or two about it. They say two heads are better than one, yeah? Well, I'm glad we stopped here - because I think you'll be interested in what we learned.

First of all, the Crimson Eye records go way back - and apparently the reason they picked this place to set up shop is some kind of latent "Liturgic" energy around this town, existed since before they started all their experiments and stuff. Still couldn't tell you what they're trying to do - or what this means, but I guess I've got an idea or two.

Secondly... I found a cipher key, and I think I know exactly what it's meant to decode. You mind lettin' me see that letter for a sec, Kroos?

...After giving that place the once-over, I went to check out that testing room too. Whatever they were doing in here, it was something nasty. Place is loaded up with all sorts of weird equipment, like it's meant to inject test subjects with something and contain them for observation. I've heard stories about this kind thing, y'know? Shady operations kidnapping people off the Backstreets to do... something to 'em.

There was no sign of any test subjects though... or the results. Guess that's a good thing. If they were down here creating Abnormalities or something, that'd be a hell of a problem to add to the pile.

...It was getting kinda late though, and we still had one stop left on our investigation. The three of us headed for the mines, Hifumi met up with us around the Mineral Storage. See, she was a pretty important part of the plan - we had her blast open the blockade down there so we could look further into the shaft. It just left me with more questions than answers though.

According to a sign we found past the broken blockade, the place was locked up by the Union Army Paranormal Division, at the president's behest, no less. Can't imagine why though, place was empty 'cept for a couple dead bodies, riddled with bullet holes. They were all withered, dressed up in old-fashioned clothing. We tried to pat 'em down for any kind of info, but it looks like they left their ID at home.

Eh... I just hope we didn't make a mistake unsealing this. Gives me a bad feeling, that's all.

I went to bed after that though, really didn't wanna stick around down there much longer. I headed back to the dorm. Dunno where Zalsarona and the others went, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same. Wasn't much time left in the night, as far as I can tell. Still, without someone causing a racket a few doors down tonight, I had some time to think before I fell asleep.

Liturgy, Esotera, the Crimson Eye, the Union Army Paranormal Division, 1873... Can't help but think something way bigger than Deathborn's Killing Game is going on here, and if you ask me, it all comes back to one guy, doesn't it? Which just leaves one question.

You check the fire extinguisher. It doesn't seem to have anything special about it other than being empty.

You check the Desert Sage dorms. Obviously, you can't go looking at people's rooms without permission, but the dorms as a whole look normal. You glance at the rooms of the two dead people.

Tsavorae's looks normal, and the Noise's is beat to shit.
