You go down and inspect Cold Storage in the Yellow Basement.

There's a couple frozen corpses, a bunch of cold-preserved chemicals, and some cold-preserved foods. No Jessiheads.

Does the code 1881592 get me into the yellow basement? I try it.

You input this code into the door at Purple, and open it!

You begin to inspect the Yellow Basement. The first room off of Purple is the Generator Room, which is just a big power supply. It's got a bunch of wires running through the ground - seems this is how the other basements and the Blue Building keep the lights on. You move from there into the Server Hall, full of whirring and clicking computer towers. You'd have to inspect them to confirm what exactly they have as information. There's a keypad door to the south; none of the four codes you know work on it. Seems there's another to find somewhere.

Stepping to the left of the Server Hall, you find the aforementioned Cold Storage. Anything that needs to be kept cold long-term is here, as well as four unknown bodies you don't recognize. Deathborn laughs a bit when he sees them. Evilly, that is. Finally, to the east, and with the connection to the Orange Building, is the Maintenance Office. This one is just the boring office for maintenance work - contains all the information needed to keep the lights on, the duties to keep the place in top shape. Gus-core.

As a result of this investigation, the map has been expanded. You may investigate any of these rooms in more detail.

Thanks Pohatu. Next I want to go back outside and jump into the twister. When it flings me in the air I want to use the height advantage to scan the entire outdoor area, roofs included, for Jessica's missing head.

You investigate the two bodies, and realize they are four bodies. Oops.

Anyway you investigate the four bodies. It looks like all of them were shot dead, and have clearly been lying around for a long time. You notice all of the bodies have badges with the Crimson Eye logo on them.

You do this, you madwoman. You do not see the head anywhere.

Can we look more closely at that bedsheet...? Is the amount of blood consistent with, um... transporting a head? I don't know if that makes sense...

There's a lot of blood on this bedsheet. It looks like a lot more than if you just wrapped up a head and carried it with you.

Can we check the Restaurant, Gambling Parlor, and Brewery more closely? I don't know how much of the restaurant got checked besides the hole...

Which two rooms does this tunnel connect?

Also, I want to check out the area in the tunnel around where the bed sheet was found. Anything hidden in the sides/floor/ceiling of the tunnel?

You investigate all of these. Besides the Jessica setup, there's nothing special in the Gambling Parlor. The brewery is missing many bottles of alcohol, but is otherwise normal. The Restaurant has the big hole in the floor leading to the Saloon, and the remains of a setup for dining for four.

[/quote]You investigate the tunnel. Doesn't look like there's anything special about it beyond the existing water and the sheet.

Operation Silver Junction investigative report day 7.

Unfortunately it was another bust of a day from me, Doctor~ I didn't end up getting into Yellow Basement, though I now see it's unlocked. Proper investigation of that will have to wait until tomorrow. Let us not skip ahead, though~

Exiting my dorm, I... Frankly, I'm not sure why, but taking the door from Carpentry to the Century Agave Dorms with me felt really important~ I headed into Carpentry to grab some tools to do that, and spotted Marisa headed upstairs. Then, uh... Well, I did it~ If anyone's looking for the door, sorry, that was me~

Yesterday, Partitio gave up his hat for the investigation, so I decided to reward him and offer an olive branch at the same time. To do so, I headed north to the Tailor via Prickly Pear's Dorm. On my way there I did manage to catch him heading into Mining Equipment. Making a mental note of it so I can give him the hat later, I went upstairs. Strong Bad was in there making something too; I was sorta distracted by my work, so I didn't really see what it was~

Not wanting to waste time, I tried to do a proper aerial deployment out the window, but I guess I'm getting a little rusty, Doctor. I rolled my ankle on the ground outside. Ow~ But since I was moving slow, I managed to see a few interesting sights: the black horse flying through the sky, Lasagna Cat entering the Bank... And a showdown! Atua versus Ranger! Even though Ranger had the equipment on his side, he still was swiftly defeated and knocked unconscious. Poor guy was worse off then me~ Atua headed into the Chapel, and I went around the back -- I saw some stuff I already dug up there.

From here I entered Desert Sage building from the back, and headed upstairs to grab the keys off Not Shane. I'll be honest, I forgot he became a Feline when he reincarnated instead of an Aegir, Doctor... There was already a hole in the side of the Sherriff's Office when I arrived, anyway, so my goal of letting everyone out was totally wasted~ Man, I wanted to go investigating with Roland and everyone else...

Exiting through the front this time, I managed to spot Mayor Bud entering the Chapel. I also saw Miss. Zalsarona on my way down the street, pulling a cart; she liked the door I've been holding on to, so I guess that's some use for it~ Also, The Noise was riding a cow down the eastern street. I guess he deserves to have a little fun. I tried to see if Roland had went back to bed, but he wasn't in our dorms; from here I went to Mineral Storage and the Ruined Mine. Someone wearing a bedsheet was in there. And maybe... They're the one who knocked me out, too? Because when I tried to go into Mining Equipment, I was strangled unconscious. Rude~!

[OOC: FWIW I'll be around to do Discord investigating or answer questions there in the evening; didn't want to leave you hanging that long for my personal account.]

Y'know, I s'pose I owe you one, Akira. With all that's goin' on, I hardly thought to take even a second to sit. I thought I had too many places to be, too many faces to see. But sittin' for a spell to chat with ol' Neil and Ms. Cascabela without none of the stress of this Killing Game… Why, it grounds a man. Murder 'n' gods can't stop ya from makin' a place feel like home when you're breakin' bread with good company.

Thankee kindly, Akira.

Now, 'sides a pleasant supper, there ain't much to report. With all the old faces 'round here again, I had more reunions to attend to than a politician's got hands to shake, so I was runnin' around to and fro like a chicken with its head cut- Err, never you mind that, Jessica. I gave these legs a stretch and went on over to Mining Equipment. On the way, I caught Pohatu out of the corner of my eye makin' tracks east, while li'l McJango was trottin' my way. That new fella - Serph? - was skulkin' around Blue. He's a strange one. Can't make hide nor hair of what he wants.

Shortly after that, I stepped on in the Ruined Mine room, heard the door swing open behind me… 'n' there he was.

Ol' Neil had shown his face just like he promised! I just knew whatever was goin' on in you 'fore you left us wasn't gonna keep you from risin' again! You got too much grit in ya to be kept down, partner! We marked our reunion like two men oughta, grabbin' each other in a mighty embrace. Just hope I didn't leave no bruises on ya, Neil.

I reckon it was just about as we split that Akira stomped in and offered us an invite. After a few words, she wandered on off, and Neil and I made our descent. Don't mind too much what we were up to - just a little pokin' around, 's all it was. While we were down there, North Star crossed our paths twice, and I spotted Lynne and that strange Serph rummagin' around down here too.

Once we finished up our exploration, we moseyed on over to the Vault to emerge - not without noticin' Elster up to her usual surveys in the Green Basement. Headin' on out the door, poor Ranger's takin' a dirt nap right in the middle of the road. Wish I had had a blanket on hand for ya… Next stop was Mining Equipment again, where Momoyo was catchin' up with Marisa. Momoyo and I, we had ourselves a frank talk. Even all that's gone on since she clambered up those cliffs, she's a straight shooter. I ain't carryin' a lick of doubt that what she tells me is the truth as far as she knows it.

So once we were all caught up as we were gonna get in one night, I asked if she might like to accompany us to a one-on-one. See, ol' Neil was fixin' to take Deathborn to task in a duel, and I was fixin' to be there to keep an eye on him and give him a cheer and a holler. We all went north and took a turn down main street 'til we reached the remains of the Water Tower. Mighty glad that Madame Zee had the foresight to dig that canal…

Momoyo and I took up positions on one side while McJango took the other, and 'tween us, Neil and Deathborn took their places and made their paces. The air was cracklin' fiercer than pyrite tossed in a fire as they reached for their revolvers and their resolve. One flick of the wrist, 'n' it was all over… I reckon I'll let ol' Neil tell you his recollections as he sees fit, but whew, that lawman's one fine gunslinger. Couldn't see a bead of one sweat drippin' down his brow; he was steamin' hot marchin' on Deathborn.

Once Deathborn had taken his licks, we split from Momoyo and McJango to make our way to the Saloon. Marisa was dancin' up on stage, but, Akira yanked us on upstairs before we could get caught in any shenanigans.

While Akira produced supper, avoiding the hole in the Restaurant floor, Neil and I took our seats across from that beautiful desert bloom that is Miss Cascabela. I wasn't expectin' to be sittin' with you again so soon, but believe you me, I don't mind at all! She's got herself a real gift for gab. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more charming and eloquent speaker on this side of the Mississippi. And sittin' by ol' Neil… why, that just puts a cowpoke's heart at ease, knowin' he's beside someone who's got his back through thick and thin. Articulate enough to speak in court, rugged, hard-workin', a man o' character with a heart as big as the open plains… There's a fella who only comes 'round a couple times in a lifetime…

Ladies, Neil, it was a pleasure dinin' with ya. Whatever unfolds today, I'll remember it fondly.

Nice as it was, time kept tickin', and we had to disperse eventually. We went on down as a group, spottin' Hollywood Bowl, Pohatu, Evangeline, and that orange Lasagna Cat sittin' round the Saloon while Ace and Roland were departin'.

After that, I went on back to my dorm with some mighty important words to chew on as I slept. You wait 'n' see, partner, I'm gonna keep my chin up and make it through…

For the purposes of demonstration, I will board Nozzleburp and lie flush on its back with the sheets on top of me while it takes to the skies. Fly high into the air for people to observe how hidden I become.

Then, with the Tonic of Accuracy buff still active (hopefully), fire 10 bullets perfectly into the twister in such a way that they all ricochet through Roland's legs and draw a smiley face in the ground via impact marks.
