Yeah same lol, I wonder if they had to skip the inhouse preorders altogether since they're having trouble meeting demand from the retail ones

Nah, people have been getting invites and placing orders. I'm pretty sure they've said they intend to get to everyone who registered interest even if it takes until after launch, it just does not appear to be first come first served as initially advertised. Some people who registered early didn't receive an invitation yet, some people who registered a couple days late did. It's probably entirely random, or Nintendo hates me, specifically.

Sounds like it's working similarly to Nvidia's program to get 5000 series cards out, in which case they are probably basing it more on individual activity rather than time of registration. Nvidia started with those who owned 4000 series cards and then worked their way down from there, no matter when you registered. So people who own newer Switch models and/or played more are probably prioritized.

That sucks ass, hopefully once the initial hype dies down you're able to snag one. All the reports about cancelations have had me checking my order hourly, messed up they were only able to let people know their orders wouldn't be fulfilled three days from launch. I've been "preparing to ship" since last week, but I haven't seen an actual charge yet.

Dealing with Target's frequent pre-authorization charges was tedious.

I'm glad it was just the controller, I wasn't gonna buy one to begin with

Costco has $75 pro controllers btw

I also bought the GameCube controller because I can't resist some analog triggers

I don't even have a membership, you can just buy it online and pay a 5% non-member surcharge. It's still cheaper than the $85 MSRP
