but then only talking about going to Carpentry, which is south-east.

Then later, after Bud fought the pretender god, Ranger returned to site. He pretended to be in General Store and working on his flag the entire time, but actually he did the kill then.

The body was dyed red because he has some kind of Texas Red related forbidden action.

Hmhmhm...It ssseems tensions are rather high this case, for obviousss reasons. I, too, was quite fond of our hard-working, kindhearted mayor. But he would not want our nascent camaraderie to fall apart like this, yesss? This killer...it is unlikely than they chose to ssspecifically target our mayor. We could not identify each other last night because of that gilded oaf's sssilly hat gimmick, no? Perhapsss the culprit is wrought with guilt as we ssspeak...or perhaps they feel no remorssse at all. It matters not. Our goals remain the sssame.

And we have made much progress on that front, no? We rid the town of Atua's influence, and the green one (red one? blue one? dios mio.) proved that the incorrigible brute is not invincible. If it can bleed, it can die.

Huh. Can't say I'm surprised, considering... he's been suspicious every night so far. Guess it was just a matter of time at the end of the day - sooner or later, it was gonna be his fault no matter what we did, or how many times we cleared him.

What's that matter? You know, I've been sitting up here, letting Honoka and you run it as you like... but this time, I'm starting to feel differently. Maybe that makes me a hypocrite, I don't care.

Atua
Do you believe you have what it takes, even in that body? If you're so certain you can stop it, come and have a go, Centipede Princess!

Momoyo is ready to take Atua up on that offer, and she begins to slither off her perch, her enormous body diving forward towards Atua as Partitio begins to clear away from the area. However, he's ready for her, and as she slams into him, he's pushed back, but still active. Ranger's also there to help, but all he can do is take a couple potshots at Atua with his Big Iron, the bullets shattering on impact. As Atua forces Momoyo aside, she pulls back to avoid destroying the buildings, her size and power now presenting an issue.

Of course, Partitio's not just running away idly. Grabbing some rocks from the ground, he begins to crunch them down inside the jar. As Atua begins to approach, he hurls a swoop of rock powder into his face, distracting the god for long enough that Partitio's able to aim for his real destination - Mineral Storage. Inside, he begins to grab some chalcanthite, crushing it down inside the jar again. Atua begins to approach, but with Ranger shooting him a few more times, it's distracting enough that it lets Partitio duck through Mining Equipment.

Running over into the desert, Atua begins to march through the cacti, Partitio hopping nimbly around them as Atua simply marches forward, slamming cacti out of his way when necessary. However, with how far he's come, he suddenly hears the rumbling of Momoyo behind him. The centipede tries to coil around Atua, only for the god to grab her coils as she tries to crush him. He takes the chance to grab Momoyo and pull her back half closer, throwing her off balance as he leaps from the pile and comes crashing down.

Looking around, Atua tries to find Partitio, only to see him and Ranger standing underneath the gate to town. Atua lowers his head and charges forward at top speed, Ranger emptying the clips of all his Big Irons. Even with the missing horn, Atua is still incredibly durable, and he smashes through all those bullets. Ranger tries to stay besides him, but unwilling to let his accomplice take the same pain, Partitio pushes him out of the way, and hurls the entire jar of copper powder towards Atua, hoping against hope that the copper poisoning will interfere with him where weapons do not.

The jar smashes upon the golden god, the copper spreading all over him!

And the powder does nothing. Atua continues to charge forward, aiming his one horn and impaling Partitio right through the heart. The merchant staggers backwards, looks at Ranger and Momoyo, and gives them a final, sad smile, before collapsing to the ground, dead.
