What, um... is the large lump in the tunnel?

Also... do those window marks outside the Hotel lead anywhere?
I don't really know what Skull Face was doing... maybe it was him...

You take it ALL off.

Underneath... are a couple pillows and bedsheets piled together. There is nothing notable about them.

Looks like they lead up to the Roof.

...Howdy.

I spent a good chunk of last night locked up in Texas Toast's old shrine on account of, well, y'all know. I reckon I ain't gonna be much help. Didn't see anything while I was in there, but I heard that dang whistle go off again. Left that ol' basement as soon as I could and went up through green. I gathered up some of Partitio's old things since he ain't gonna be needin' 'em anymore. Then I went back downstairs, 'cause armor and lightning storms, well, they ain't gonna mix very well. I ain't too proud of m'self right about now but I still value my health and not bein' all crispy fried, y'hear? Tried to go through the orange basement to get back to my dorm, but the Mineshaft wasn't exactly passable no more. All them ropes were cut and the last winch was wound up, and the floor was on fire. Reckon I can figure out how that happened. I'm proud of y'all.

Went back to green and used the tunnel to get over to the Saloon. There was somethin' big and covered by a sheet inside the tunnel right before I got there. Anyhow, went to the Gun Store from there to restock, then ran over to blue. Almost got m'self zapped, but my legs are 'bout as quick as my draw. Close call there.

I'll be completely honest with y'all. Didn't want to do this, 'specially after how things went before, but what with chicken man runnin' 'round and all, I reckoned I better play into Texas Toast's game fer now. I was gonna trick Bowl into thinkin' I was workin' on his film, and while he was distracted, I was gonna slip out and let a certain someone have it with my Big Iron. Didn't find Bowl 'round those parts, though, so I gave up right then and there. Fine by me. Turns out he was out back filmin' with North Star, and I joined in. Jessica came 'round too, then I heard a muffled explosion and a thump. North Star went down the alley between blue and green, and I left m'self, goin' back through blue to get my armor back on. Ran over to the Saloon and saw North Star and Kroos. They both left and I went back through the tunnel, seein' the bedsheet from b'fore flat on the ground. There was another muffled explosion and a thump to go with it. The tunnel was collapsed though, so I went back around to the Stable. Someone in a paper mask was comin' outta the General Store and Jessica was leavin' the Lobby in blue.

It was gettin' pretty late, so I got across to purple and went down to the basement. Went through the yellow basement from there and ended up sleepin' down in the Union Army Barracks for the night. Don't recommend 'em.

"I shot an arrow into the air,

It fell to earth, I knew not where"

We finally have the answer to this, as a large number of arrows dot the roof of the Yellow Building.

You look in the forge. There is forge.

Specifically, you can see some molten glass and a bit of melted plastic.

You try all these combinations. None of them produce a quantity match.

I try to capture some bees in a pillowcase. Do they fly out easily? Do they need to be calmed and sting me like crazy because I don't do that?

Repeat this test with one of those old-timey money sacks from the bank, as well as a bag from the general store too.

You try to sweep up some bees. It definitely agitates them! It looks like you could hold the bees in a bag with no problems.

You release the bogus. The bees fly around wildly. If you're in range they sting you, but if you get away from the bag they just buzz angrily.

You examine the roofs of purple and blue. The ladder leading down the wall is there, and there is the rope mentioned beforehand.

The horse mask is gone from the blue roof.

I stand Elster upright and then let her drop to the ground around where she died. Does Kroos think that sounds like the thump she heard, if she's standing in the same place she heard it in...?

Like I said earlier, I already managed to take care of our real problem tonight - that hopped-up chicken guy. Might've taught me a thing or two about Atua's power in the process though; if that's the kind of power his "champion" is packin', then it's gonna be a hell of a time to get rid of the big man himself... Not impossible though, which is the first good news I've heard all week.

Either way, took four of us to get rid of him - five if you count Zalsarona's assist. Sure, he was trapped in a hole the whole time, but he lasted even longer than some Distortions would've. Guess that's what 11 herbs and spices does to a guy, huh?

Thing is... that's about what half my night was spent on, if I had to guess. Don't have any problem outlining the plan though... so here goes...

I was gonna meet Jessica in the mines near the start - which did actually happen. I loaded up the open mine pit with Magnesium and Aluminum while she set up a winch, then I cut the ropes and started scraping some Iron Oxide off of the support beams and old tools. Combine the three of 'em, and you get Thermite. Hah... it's about the only thing I remember from Chemistry class...

Akira and Ace showed up after, thankfully without Sanders anywhere in tow. Gave us an extra couple minutes to rig this operation. We lowered Ace into the pit and cut the other ropes besides the winch. That's when Zalsarona came by to hand off a lure for the colonel. Good thing too, because he was right in our faces after that, barreling out of Mining Equipment after beating the hell outta North Star.

And it went off without a hitch! The old bastard dove into the pit for Ace and went after Zalsarona's lure. We raised Ace to safety and I chucked the oxide into the pit, setting the whole thing on fire. For good measure, I busted out my flamethrower while Ace sprayed him with booze - and for the finishing touch, Akira pulled some seriously wild moves with that Katana of hers!

Haha, couldn't tell you what even happened, but he practically exploded into a shower of blood! Talk about a success! Boy, what I wouldn't give to get a look through Sanders' eyes at that moment, right before he burst like a swollen bloodbag... I'd bet it looked something like this:

We celebrated for a sec... including North Star. Dunno why he thinks he's on the team, but I ain't gonna put much thought into it. Guess he might've lured the guy here, if nothing else.

'Course, we didn't have much reason to spend time together after that, so we split up. Akira and I went out to the Graveyard, where Nico tried to get me to take her flyer for some kind of cultish junk. I think we've got enough of that though as it is, so I didn't really give her any time and just grabbed a shovel. We went up to check out the Locomotive while Nico headed west and I found... something kind of interesting.

The front of the locomotive's got two number sequences on it: P2R2 and G2R2. I think I've got an idea of what that means... but I'll explain later on.

...As you know, it's forced attempt night. Much as I'd like to not get involved... I had to figure something out so Sanders wouldn't go for me instead and ruin the plan. I headed for the Saloon for a drink, then headed upstairs. Grabbed a keg, some tinfoil, and I made some markings out the Hotel window, as though someone climbed onto the roof like last time. This'll be important later, I swear.

Afterwards, I went over to the Purple building, where I ran into Jessica - just like she said. Didn't seem to be anything off about her, but you never know. She didn't stick around though, so I went upstairs - for two reasons. First stop though... was the Schoolhouse.

Thing is, someone found a sheet of paper the other day... with half a password on it. Decided I'd make use of the room to try to figure out the back half. The way I see it, P2R2... could that mean Purple 2, Red 2? Well, this first half's on this floor - the second purple floor... and I guess it's gotta unlock the red basement right? Red 2? I dunno, but it's not like I had much in the way of other options with this...

Thinkin' about it... that would mean the second half of the code's gotta be in Green, right? G2...

Hah... well, I didn't have anything else to go off on this front - so I figured I'd get to my attempt instead. I took the handle of the shovel and stuck a chisel on it that I got forever ago from Carpentry to make a spear. Wrapped it up in tinfoil and headed to the Mayor's Office. I was hoping to find Nico there so I could toss her out the window and make her my target... but I guess it wasn't to be.

The plan was easy. Complicated, but easy. I was gonna toss the foil-covered spear out the window at my target - hopefully Nico, but I settled for Bowl. Eventually, lightning would strike 'em and damage the wound, hopefully burning away the wooden handle while it was goin' on. I was gonna head downstairs and turn the body around so that it looked like they got staked from the Yellow building...

Then I was gonna load up all the tinfoil and other metal pieces into the keg and send it downstream with some dynamite, until lightning would strike the keg too and blow it to hell and back far away from the body. Not bad, yeah?

The toilet dodged it though, so at the end of the day... I just wasted my time - and my chisel... Hah... can't win 'em all...

Still went down and scooped up all my stuff to toss downstream in the keg though. Dunno where it ended up, or if it even exploded, but it should be... somewhere, right? Guess it's not really my problem either way, but there goes all my hard work... right down the river... Don't really care what happened to it either way though, not like I can use that kinda plan again.

When takin' care of the Keg though, that's when I went to the Plot. It was the closest spot to the river from here, y'know? That's when I found the body. Someone, lying there covered in bees. The bees didn't seem too aggressive though, didn't have any problem with them myself. Dunno what she would've done to piss 'em off so bad...

Went over to Green after that, while Hifumi blew those tunnels up along the way. Good riddance, if you ask me. Anyway, I met up with Zalsarona after that in the Bank, and we headed over to the Purple basement through the underground route. Never thought I'd be a scientist, that's for sure - but we were gonna run another experiment.

Didn't see anyone else along the way, so... I'm not gonna elaborate too much on what we did down there. The way I see it, the victim was already dead - and I'm not sure ol' Madame Z would like it too much if I opened my big mouth on the whole thing.

Well... by the end of it, she was mostly alright - but knocked straight out. Couldn't tell you if it worked - for a second I was afraid she dropped dead and I was about to have a murder on my hands... Guess I gotta thank our killer tonight for taking that heat off - or Zalsarona's immune system, I 'spose.

Anyway, I made sure she was comfortable, and headed back to bed. It's a long walk back, but I didn't see anyone else along the way at all. Probably late as all hell, if I had to make an assumption. Ah, well. It's for the best. Last thing I'd want is to get my brains beaten in with a shovel on the way to sleep or something - whether there's already a victim around or not.

If we drop the bee box from the second floor or the roof, does it sound like what Kroos heard?

Uh... um, to follow up on this... I-I kind of want to see if there's anything weird on any of the second floor Purple rooms in general?

And I'm interested in knowing which side of the building the ladder's on outside...
