there were fig trees at the bottom of the hill in my backyard when we moved in. they're probably dead now though we also never actually ate them.

I only had one once. The taste wasn't bad, but the texture was unappealing. I thought it'd be like a plum. It was just soft and grainy.

Also the figs you buy to eat don't contain wasps.
