I actually think the Switch Click is a satisfying sound so it's great to see that they incorporated it into the system when connecting the Joycons.

both for the effect of the sound as well as confirming that you connected it

It's amazing how simple but satisfying a feature can be. I didn't think they'd add any indication beyond maybe an on-screen notification if anything at all.
