A large amount of people seem to agree that the current rules for voting for Suicide seem inherently flawed and too random of a punishment.

So, the following will apply for the remainder of the game, as a heads up:
If a CLASS TRIAL votes towards SUICIDE, if INCORRECT, will result in the FOLLOWING NIGHT having an ADDITIONAL SUCCESSFUL KILL.

This avoids voting suicide being too obvious to do, and avoids voting suicide being too risky.

I think this is a bit too unbalanced against suicides, basically makes suicide getting the most votes a freebie. But then again I think winning via suicide should be Hard mode too so I guess it's not too bad of a deal

I somewhat agree with this but I don't think the previous option was very good either.

yeah it's not perfect but even when writing the post I realize it's a much better solution than the previous one

this is a better solution but I don't agree with changing the rules midgame

I think giving Suicide the "safe choice" treatment is very dangerous for the game honestly.

For example, in a case like last night's, if Drei DID kill Yrr, the objective safest bet would be to vote suicide and then give Drei the next most votes so no matter what, it wins.

Suicide is probably rewarded too heavily now, but it should ABSOLUTELY not be the "default choice" for every case because it just kills off second highest anyway.

I don't think we should change rules midgame but going forward I WILL look into other "punishments" for picking suicide in time for KG3.

That's the thing though, people thought it was suicide but they were too scared to vote for it because of the random thing.

Hmmm... what if voting Suicide wrong has no random lynch attached, but means an additional murder will succeed on the following night instead?

This is a decent solution. Punish with in-game consequences instead of just nuking some poor fucker who didn't deserve it.

Maybe not just double kills, I think it would be fun if wrong suicide votes made an immediate "special condition" night happen, so it still has a sense of "oh shit" fear, but also an element of the unknown

I would vote suicide just to make later nights more ridiculous.

people already were going to vote gato if someone killed spritey just because he's gato

voting wrong is a genuine tactic

yeah but that requires getting everyone on the same page which doesn't always happen
this also means if you pick suicide and the real killer has framed someone they can try to split the vote three ways which is a sick strat
