the star rod in kirby's adventure really wasn't all THAT amazing tbh. pretty normal projectile fare
meanwhile bowser's make you fucking invincible and grants you all sorts of powers. and king dedede is a rival/match for a world ending cataclysmic ball of pink, not some plumber. king dedede's got this in the bag
