Y'know, I... just realized that no one's done this yet.

Check the Water Tower's storage tank. Any bullet casings, residue, anything like that? Also check the Mineral Storage for any traces of gold.

You check the storage tank, but you don't find anything like bullet casings or the like.

You check the mineral storage. MY GOD, IT'S FULL OF GOLD! ...Wait a second, no. That's just pyrite.

The only gold here is fool's gold.

You huck in a silver bar and a random pistol.

Looks like it's the same type of metal as the gun.

...What if we throw an existing sniper rifle into the furnace - that gold bar from the outhouse too. Melt 'em down and what are we left with? Do they make the same amount of molten residue as the stuff that was already here, or are the quantities off?

You pitch those into the furnace.

You are left with about the same amount of metal that was discovered melted in there.

Good idea. In the meantime... I think I'll try out that passcode I found behind the screen in the Theater.

I'll head to the Crimson Eye lab and that area under the hatch in the General Store, there's a passcode door in either place, if I'm remembering l right. Lemme just punch 4659961 into each of them, and see where whichever one opens goes.

Agent Evangeline
Certainly.

You follow Agent Evangeline as she heads into the Green Building's basement, then unlocks the western door.

The room you've arrived in is the Sacristy. Looking around, it's clear this room is where the preacher would prepare for services. It looks normal at first glance, and you take note that it has a staircase upwards, which no longer leads anywhere - apparently this was how you got between the basement and the first floor. Upon examination, though, the symbols on the robes and paraphernalia don't look like those of any mainstream religion... and why, exactly, is there a sharp, deadly-looking knife among them? Concerning.

Moving over, you head to the Church Records. There's a bunch of old documents here, many of which deal with the church services and events of the day. You look through them - they start normal, the usual service you'd find in Protestant Christianity. Over the course of 1872 and 1873, they become more elaborate, and much more... vicious. There's events of violence, and over time, the name of a different god becomes visible as the predominant name in the services. The name Atua.

There's also a Crypt, which contains a whole lot of old, moldy bones. It's dank and unpleasant, and you get out of there quickly. The last room in the basement is the Rectory, which seems to be just living quarters. A bed, sets of clothing - all severe and sparse - a mirror and washtub, all that good stuff.

Finally, you become aware that there's a bricked up section of the basement. It looks like you'd have to force your way in there with explosives or something.

As a result of this investigation, the map has been expanded. You may investigate any of these rooms in more detail.

(Honoka… Just how sure are you that your pa's not playin' you like a fiddle no different than the rest o' us?)

Ol' Strong Bad seems to have given us a break, so I s'pose it's as good a time as it's gonna get to talk shop about the trinity on our hands.

When I was… er… glowin' last night, I got… Well, guess I wouldn't go callin' it a warnin' so much as a promise. But I'm crossin' a force my senses couldn't comprehend to give you a warnin'. After sundown, in terms of the time we've got to ready ourselves, we're 'about one stop short from pullin' into the end of the line. You got any plans to prepare, carry 'em out tonight.

Now that star shinin' above the chapel… this I ain't so sure of, but I reckon it's some kind of beacon - and not one exclusively for Atua. This town's the place trouble's been waitin' to happen ever since ol' Spence set up shop here, and any of y'all who've been diggin' into town records'll know all kind o' outsiders have poked their heads in this place. Don't take this as gospel, now, but I wonder if Atua's the only one who'll be comin' for us.

Now, listen good here to this last part, 'cause this is where our trinity comes in. Three signs, three rituals, that'll be presagin' the emergence of… Well, you figure up what Atua stands for and take a crack at that one.

When I was first wakin', I got to thinkin' those three rituals were what happened at those fancy sites mentioned by the records scattered 'round these parts. Jabberwock Castle, that facility, and Silver Junction, makes three, don't it?

Thing is, those rituals are s'pposed to have a sign each. The first sign? An enforcer, blessed with strength, 'nuff of it no mortal's gonna be able to keep 'em from the job. I'd wager a guess that's Momoyo… if Honoka hadn't made guessin' at that as easy as callin' water wet.

Second sign? A vessel able to cajole the non-believers and who'll guide all to completion. Lemme just tip my hat to Roland for pointin' out a certain associate o' ours might be the one sustainin' Momoyo. I reckon this vessel might just be the daughter of a dark god in our midst.

The third sign? Well, I shudder to say…. but the third sign… we're lookin' at an acolyte made immortal who'll usher in a new eternity. Could have these last two signs mixed up, but… Deathborn came out all this way and did all this plannin' just to die in a blaze. Odd, ain't it? And that Crimson Eye, they sure seemed to have their holes puckered up something fierce over what Deathborn was doin'. Don't know what a group dangerous as them would be worried about… 'less a rogue agent was plannin' on gainin' power even they'd struggle to handle.

But Honoka herself went and admitted to bein' the brains of the operation. I ain't no theologi-whosit. Maybe Deathborn was lured in as the vessel and Honoka stands to gain from all this. Deathborn was the one cajolin' us to take part in Atua's favorite pastime.

Either way, point is, I'd reckon Honoka's the key to bringin' about Atua's eternity. I don't profess to know what part she's got to play, or how these rituals work, but I'll say this. Momoyo and Deathborn dyin' and bein' executed pushed us further down the stream that's swept us up here. Deathborn dies, and suddenly there's energy enough here for the freshly-dead to rise. Momoyo gets executed, and she's burstin' out of her skin to keep this spree runnin'.

I know there's a lot o' hard feelings right now, but I'll tell you this - 'fore you do anything rash, think long and hard 'bout whatever you plan on involvin' Honoka in.

You attempt to use the passcode on the door in the Crimson Eye Lab. It spits an error at you.

You use the passcode on the south door in the Storeroom. This one, conversely, accepts the passcode and opens. You step into a small tunnel, noticing that it branches to the south and to the west. Heading to the south, you find... another passcode door. This one does not accept 4659961, nor does it accept 8295728. You take note that this is about where the Yellow Building is aboveground.

However, heading back up and to the west, you find a door. This one doesn't have any lock, and swings open, putting you into the rest of the Purple Building's basement.

The first room is a garage. The Construction Garage, specifically. Inside, you find three large vehicles - an excavator, a drill tank, and a bulldozer, as well as a shutter in the west wall. Seems these were part of how the Crimson Eye constructed the basements below the buildings.

The second room, beyond that, is the Liturgic Silver Processing. You find a bunch of silver bars stored in machines. Some papers explain that Silver Junction's silver, after the events that led the place to be steeped in Liturgic Esotera, turned out to absorb the majority of the energy. One of the side projects here is extracting Liturgic Esotera from the silver in order to make use of it.

The third and last room is the Crimson Eye Storage Facility. As the name suggests, it's a big storeroom. It has stuff like body armor and modern guns. Nothing special or super-scientific, just useful items for day to day operations.

As a result of this investigation, the map has been expanded. You may investigate any of these rooms in more detail.

You unleash the public domain.

You release the following lore documents and information:

-An article from spring 1873, talking about how Silver Junction has plenty of silver and mining operations are expected to continue for years to come
-A notice confirming the Union Army Paranormal Division took over operations of the Army in Silver Junction during 1873
-Financial transactions showing Spencer Edwards was definitely rich
-A few files from the Archives, that show various filming shoots done at Silver Junction. They're all from Redeye Productions.

I understand your friend has passed and you are in grief, so I will not hold your words against you too much.
But youthful girl, young, and colorful maiden, perhaps bubberje of your attire should take care about judging others by how they look.

Now I am not as good at words as you are, so instead of mine own I will give you the words of the first friend I made in this country.
He used to say them to me whenever I heard colorful, stinging, barbed language like yours.
