Investigate the B2F Research Lab.
Despite the screams of your peers asking you not to, you approach the door to the Research Lab. Taking a deep breath, you open it. I mean, what's the worst that could happen?
You step inside and look around. It’s a sterile looking room, with several tables, and lots of scientific equipment and monitors. In the middle of the room is a rolling table, with more scientific equipment piled high. There's an unmarked book lying on this table, as well as another jar of that black stuff.
There are three memos lying out on the tables lining the northwest walls, and exactly three files on some racks on the wall. There's a computer as well, logged out. You see a red light blink ominously from the desk by the memos. A pneumatic tube descends from the ceiling, appearing to empty out here from the Drug Supply.
Lying slumped on the floor in front of the computer is the corpse of Obama Machine, hooked up to the same tube system as Lynn was prior. He is covered in blood, specifically around his mouth. It drips down over the entire front his body though.
To the south of this room, a bookshelf appears to have slid aside, leading to a dimly lit, ominous hallway.
I asked for this so I guess I might as well follow through.
I would like to carry the three files and unmarked book out of the room. I would then like to then like to use my crowbar to stretch across the room while avoiding the blinking red desk, and pull the three memos toward me. I move those outside the room too. Next I take a look down the ominous hallway using my flashlight.
I then exit the room and toss my crowbar toward the trapped desk.
Finally I read the contents of the documents I managed to collect.
You enter the Research Lab cautiously, grabbing the three files from the rack, as well as the book. Examining the book, you see that it appears to be some sort of journal belonging to Dr. Pierce, however it is locked closed by, well, a lock. It appears to unlock via a small key, but you don't really know where it is, and you haven't seen one like it anywhere. Maybe Pierce has it, or it's in her office or something.
Oh well.
You place the files back out in the hall, but leave the book for now. Heading back inside, you reach out with your crowbar and fish the memos from the desk from just out of the bomb sensor's line of sight. You breathe a sigh of relief as you scramble for the memos and get the hell out of there. When you're safely out of the door, you throw the crowbar over at the bomb. It explodes in a shower of shrapnel, damaging some of the equipment, but not the book or the computer.
When the smoke clears, you sit down in the hallway and flip through the files.
CRIMSON HUNTER 001 - J4-CK
SPECIFICATIONS: Night Vision, NDE-36 Eye Beam, Prosthetic Arm, Chainwhip Module, PIERCE-9 Mechanical Internal Nerve Controller, Void Conduit
PURPOSE: Hunting potential members of the Crimson Eye, Eliminating Crimson Eye agents, Troublemaker Deterrent
NOTES: The Crimson Hunter contains a small amount of soulbinding conduit, required to reactive neural processes needed to use brain matter as the primary computational unit. Due to this, some level of control may be wrestled away by the body's original soul. Manual override mechanism installed to sever soul connection temporarily to prevent unlawful action. This process also allows for easy conversion of any corpse to a Crimson Hunter unit.
CRIMSON DEVASTATOR
SPECIFICATIONS: Tri-Brain Processor, Thermal Vision, Seeking Eviscerators, Dual-Manible Grip System, Regeneration Node, PIERCE-1 Cybernervous Total Conversion, XW-737 Void Cannon (Mono-Eye Unit, Qty. 3)
PURPOSE: Protection against Crimson Eye operatives, Project Terror, and potential Crimson Hunter rogue breaches.
NOTES: The Crimson Devastator, unlike the Crimson Hunter, requires three corpses to create, and utilizes a synthetic nervous system that bypasses the need for soulbinding to reactivate brain processes. The Crimson Devastator however, lacks the discretion of the Crimson Hunters, and should only be dispatched in the case of extreme emergency, or in the event of an X Level Threat such as a Project Terror derivative or [REDACTED]. Difficult to create, more difficult to contain.
OCCULT ENGINE
SPECIFICATIONS: Ritual Materials, Multilingual Voice Automation, Void Siphon, Transportation Pipes, Containment Unit, Automated Exorcism Engine, Void Distillation Unit
PURPOSE: Generating soulbinding material via conduction and harvesting of ritual byproducts.
NOTES: The Occult Engine constantly conducts artificial rituals and harvests the byproduct material of supernatural contact, before distilling it into the ideal soulbinding material known as "Void Conduit". Void Conduit can be used to host both metaphysical and artificial souls, as well as contain and harness both supernatural power and occultech data if required. The latter two are not recommended for integration based on prior experimentation.
EXTRA NOTE: Why does everyone think there are sloths in there? They're... a fine animal, but they have no place in a laboratory.
You put the files back on the rack, and check the memos next, starting with the first one and proceeding from there...
Both the Crimson Eye and the Bureau appear to be observing me, it seems. How curious. Nonetheless, it will be fine. As far as I can tell, the Crimson Eye didn't send any of their elite, and there is heavy doubt that the rest pose any sort of threat.
No current theories as to their identity. Perhaps... Marenghi? He does seem to sport an array of disguises... Hmmm.
More information needed. Curious that none have perished yet. Would be curious to analyze their original weaponry and compare it to the Archives.
If you are reading this memo, there is a high chance you are currently filled with a large amount of shrapnel. Please refrain from bleeding on my computer, should you currently be trying to drag yourself to your feet.
If for some reason you managed to bypass the bomb, then congratulations. You don't win anything, but I admire your resourcefulness, unless you are Dr. Hawke or his hair-deprived friend.
WARNING: Do not engage individual with the coat and the hat. Chthonic Sensors indicate that they are in possession of a Crimson Bullet. Identity unknown, but they are capable and experienced in combat, even against enhanced units.
ADDENDUM: Coated individual is very likely not the mastermind behind this Killing Game development. Primary AI overrides require B3F access, coated individual has no been able to breach B2F until recently, despite their best efforts. Regardless, they should be eliminated on sight in the rare chance that their true identity is [REDACTED].
You enter the room once again, flick on your flashlight, and stare down the ominous hallway that opened up. You see two windows on the western wall, all tinted to obscure what is behind them. A large terminal sits near the windows, seemingly controlling... something. At the end of the hall is a spiral staircase leading downwards.
