And Spritey, I can see how the ~everyone's going to forget about xyz by next week~ point can apply in certain contexts (eg xyz Youtube is this week's Literally Hitler™) but we're talking about human suffering here (and actual children, and a Dad who acts like a cartoon school bully toward said children) and someone having the audacity to broadcast it to the public, let alone treat children like this in the first place. This is not something that should be swept under the rug.

I just hope if CPS gets involved the children are adopted, not put into foster care. The foster care system in this country is shit and I don't see people talk about it that often; children are often taken away from emotionally abusive parents and then put in emotionally or even physically abusive foster homes and then doped up on psychiatric medication when they try to complain.

From what I understand about the story there is a relative trying to get custody of the kids so I hope that happens if it's a loving home.

i agree with one of my professors that people should be given some form of removable birth control until they are in their mid 20s to prevent the ridiculous amount of pregnancies that occur with people too young and financially unfit to raise a child

While I agree with this in principle, I think actually enforcing it would be a complete and utter shitshow.
