You search throughout the house but find no notable hats beyond GAS MASKS in the SUPPLY ROOM if those even count

There are SHOTGUN BLAST holes on the walls of MAURICE'S ROOM, fanning out from his closet area.

There is no sign of any damage around his room.

As I mentioned before, I spent nearly the whole night in the conservatory metal working. Coincidentally you need a welder to do that. You can check the bars of the cages now melted, the large bone I used as a hammer, or the finished product from my labor if you do not believe me.

You search the SHACK. It doesn't look like there is another way in.

There is no way to tell if it was unlocked before investigation. Only MAURICE or someone who had stolen his key would have been able to get in

The KEY is lying in the COURTYARD around the body. The lanyard around it seems to have burned off.
