DAY 3 - The Lantern, the Witch, and the Crimson Eye

My god...
He looks exactly like Roland! If Roland had a curly mustache.

There we go! Let's follow that tunnel!
Following it, you eventually come to a split. Roland takes one branch. He ends up beneath the bed of King of Clubs.
Zalsarona takes the other. She ends up behind the bar in the Saloon.

I want to get in on some of that whacking action too. I'd like to compare Tsavorae's wound to:
* a table
* a storage crate from the store
* the wall
* a random plank of wood
* a jar of mayonnaise
* the blackboard in the school house
* a gun carrying case

All of these still don't match, unfortunately. Same issue, everything's creating an uneven impact due to rigidity vs. the curve of the head.

Can I check all the doors leading out of the purple building for drag marks that are similar to the ones leading out north? Signs of a large object being dragged IN?

I try to fit a coffin into the secret tunnel behind the bar. Does it fit?

Let's try walking around the outside, specifically looking for animal tracks along the road and around the buildings. Compare the tracks I find to the both the horses and the ox. Any outliers? Are any of them deeper, as though the animal was carrying a heavy load?
"Meow..."
McJango looks at you with sad big eyes. He thought he was a good boy and yet... he had a night running from the law! He paws at translator hoping the right one comes up to show he is really a good boy!! The screen flashes the text 'Cartoon Evil Overlord'.
-
"Greetings, foolish mortals! I am known as the infamous "Claw of Darkness! Cease your feeble attempts to damage my throne of fabric! McJango! Yet thou may address me as Mcjango. "
-
Fear engulfed me upon learning of my outlaw status! Terrified at the thought of capture, I fled into the shadows of the alleyways near the Farrier. There, I encountered a wretched soul named Bud who foolishly challenged me to a contest of strength. I rejected his pitiful offer, for my limbs are frail.
Realization struckβ I required the perfect disguise to navigate the night and infiltrate the frivolities of the birthday gala! Thus, I venture forth to the train platform to procure the ideal garb!
--
I procure parchment and construct a whimsical headpiece, adorning myself with a finely crafted mustache! My usual attire differs, so i assumed this charade would suffice! For I knew if I wished to seek entry to the festivity i had to evade the chains of justice. Henceforth, I shall embrace my clandestine personaβ 'Miles McTango!'
As I leave the confines of the train platform, I encounter Elster, who, miraculously, refrains from casting me into the abyss of confinement; my scheme unfolds flawlessly!!!
--
Upon arrival at the tavern, despair strikesβthe establishment lies in desolation... I skulk in the shadows, spying my comrade Bud in company with Momoyo . Soon, my gaze is drawn to a throng gathered in the livestock pen, and I weave my way to their midst.
I watch as... Nico . departs from the Farrier . Roland . exchanged his soul with Deathborn and the nurturing specter, Zasarona. . Reginald engaged in solitaire, and Aikra's wails echoed as she lamented whilst conversing with the accursed Honoka.
It all seemed so calm, and yet.... It was a fleeting respite, for the hour of reckoning loomed large. I marched forth to confront my inevitable doom, seeking the dark counsel of Tsavorae.
I endeavor to dissuade her from this folly, for it was Akiraβs Day of Birth, and I am but a mere insignificant guy!!!! Yet she remains obstinate! We take our ten paces... she whirls, pointing her shotgun but as she pulls the trigger I collapse to the ground and roll away, fleeing in ignoble cowardice!
She pursues me, relentless in her wrath! I dart past the facesof ... Ranger, Mizzlenip and their ally a black house, and North Star ...... Yet none can offer me salvation. In my frantic flight, I burst into the Sheriffβs lair, narrowly escaping the gaze of Not Shane who watches on in befuddlement.
In a cunning flash, Tsavorae. seizes the sniper gun from the tainted table, aiming its malevolence at me for a SECOND time this accursed day. Mercifully, it clicks mockingly without consequence, granting me a fleeting chance to escape!
I vanish into the abyss pursued by Not Shane while Tsavorae. falters, ensnared in the doorway, her demise imminent. I flee through the forsaken shadows passing North Star outside but as I think I'm almost free Not Shane comes hurtling toward me, sealing my fate.
He drags me to the abyss of incarceration, sauntering past allies Roland, Agent Evangeline, and the benevolent Zalsarona departing from the treasury.
I am cast into a pen of despair, reminiscent of my foul entrapment beneath the laundry basket, yet I wear the mask of valor...............
Not Shane hurls a barrage of inquiries, but as darkness envelops the realm, he releases me from my confines. I emit a low meow of appreciation before retreating to my lair, vowing never to traverse the path of my transgressions again!!!!!!!!!!!
You know, for a bit there, I thought maybe now that the mastermind died, we'd be lucky and be able to just go home. But you can't have shit in Arizona, I suppose.
Anyway. My night. I woke up and left for the Cemetery first. Saw Roland, saw Ace Ventura. Spent some time framing things - we're gonna need to use that location for sure. With how active it is already. So I needed to make sure I knew how it looks on film. Derek Stiles showed up and started looking at a couple graves, and by then I had enough, so I followed after Roland and Ventura.
Namely, I went over to the Locomotive. I wanted to do some filming - we've got a big train, which means I need a big train scene at some point. Still not sure where I'm working it in. At the time, I could see Elster trying to break into the Telegraph Office; real go-getter there, might be a good secondary role. Saw Ventura and Roland again, wandering around the place, and Ranger too. Spent a while getting the train on film. Really wanted to see how it looks.
Satisfied, I went over to that Water Tower and climbed the thing. Sat up there for a bit and tested the view. It's pretty good, though it's too bad it's not higher, the Yellow Building cuts off a lot of the potential. Saw some people start sitting around together outside the Yellow Building, and Partitio grabbed an ox from the Livestock Corral.
Once all that was done, I went up to my studio building. Met with Neil Marshall, and put on The Final Flush while I talked with him. He's a smart guy. Got a real future ahead of him, I'm looking forward to working with him. Ranger came in during that, and I had a nice talk with him too. There's a lot we can make out of this production, I think. Sure, it's all going to shit, but at least I can make it worth my time. After that, I went upstairs in the Breakroom, and relaxed for a bit, until Not Shane showed up. Not that I've got a problem with the guy, I was just looking forward to a break.
Still, it wasn't a bad talk. That is, until Deathborn came up the stairs and went into the Film Equipment like a man on a mission. Next thing I know, the whole place is on fire and so is the guy himself. I'm not missing him after he suckered us into this whole mess, but I wanted at least something of a studio, so I grabbed a fire extinguisher and hosed it down. Alone, might I add. Once the place was nice and cool again, I was exhausted, so I just went back to my room and slept.

You do not find any such marks in the tunnel pre-existing.

None of them look deeper or otherwise significant.
